photo of the light mounted to the grille. It sticks out pretty significantly on the back. Not sure if that’ll interfere with anything when trying to install

Interesting. Definitely curious now how it mounts up with the active shutters for the grill.

might just need to ground one of the other pins. I could be wrong too.

    the grille looks awesome!
still no word for me if i am even gonna get the one i ordered, total silence from dealer.

would you be willing to take a measurement since you have the lightbar?

could you measure the distance from the screw hole to the bottom of the light bar?
if the factory camera bracket was there, do you think that they would possibly touch one another?
does the light stick out above where the camera bracket would be and it looks like its a kind of recessed thing?

trying to get a good grasp of it to see about a printable bracket for camera

I noticed you got the same one I received which differs from the one he had pictured. If you look at the back of the light you have you notice it has no mounting hole by the fan outlet. If you look at the picture from the ad, in the center just under the fan you see a mounting tab. I am curious if it is needed. I uploaded a pic that shows a bracket that seems to attach to it.
These are most likely off prototypes but curious to know what is the final design.

I would be careful using those on your new trucks guys, they may be just prototypes and not even safe for longer term use.

dont want the damn thing to start to melt or something .

I wonder if there is any fitment issues since it's technically for the hybrid model. Not sure if the engine is that different, but curious to know.
    Good luck!

I’m pretty sure there are fitment issues with the light bar. Especially with trucks with the Grille shutters.

Looks like the TRD pro’s doesn’t have the grille shutter assembly.

Yeah. Doesn't look like there are grill shutters there, but all of the TRD Pros featured in YT content to date (someone correct me) are still considered "pre-production" models. Maybe they'll have shutters on the consumer models...or maybe they don't have active shutters on the hybrids at all? :monocle:

Yeah that's odd. To my understanding the shutters are crucial on these turbo trucks, even the Raptor guys have them. Otherwise the turbos wouldn't heat up enough in cold weather/climates. I can't imagine they would have the shutters on every model except the pro.

I just noticed that the radiator setup on the Pro is definitely different. Here's a pic of my SR5 grille with the shutters. You can see the black lines of the shutters open since the truck is off. I circled one to make it more visible.

Then look at the TRD Pro pic at the bottom...the radiator setup is noticeably different. Looks like there's an electric fan on the hybrid that isn't present on the standard engine. That might impact the functionality of the shutters or negate their need entirely depending on the air flow design. I'm speculating, but seems plausible.

I just have the grille shutter bolted on at the top for now. Got a CEL when I tried without it. Will be getting some spacers to install it properly. There’s plenty of space in there to just move it back a couple of inches. I’m in TX where is almost never gets cold, so probably don’t even need it anyways. Couldn’t live with that CEL though lol

I couldn’t get the light bar to work and didn’t have much time to test it. Think I’m just gonna wait for a proper harness to be released for it. Just on there for looks for now.

That’s what I was thinking. These photo and video of TRD pro are press vehicle and maybe different for consumer. They may have a different shutter assembly for the Pro.
But I think the hybrid will be using same grille shutter as the non hybrid. Looking at repair manual for hybrid and it still shows a grille shutter. Production dates are 5/22-. And a system initialization for HEV models.

Man that looks so good! Hoping some aftermarket companies will release Pro style grilles with the "raptor lights" in those slots. Only a matter of time.

Seems like any single row 20in bar would work just fine with the right brackets

man going back and looking you can def tell the difference between the prototype and the production grilles
the prototype has a significantly smaller "font"

Yeah. I think the trick would be finding one with that "taper" on each end...or just using a regular 20" light bar and living with the triangle-shaped gaps at each end. They'd be small enough to where it probably wouldn't be noticeable.

I'm sure someone who is handy with a 3D printer can make a mount that fills in the gaps for a light bar. Probably a good alternative to oem light bar for the non-Pro, this way we can keep the grille shutter and possibly a better light bar.

a lot of the 20in bars are actually larger than 20 in memory serves me correct so they can cover up some of the gap
