Phantom Gray 2006 Regular Cab Long Bed Tundra V8 4.7L 4WD
Greetings from Santa Barbara County, CA!

We recently purchased a one-owner Phantom Gray 2006 Regular Cab Long Bed Tundra V8 4.7L 4WD with 224,000 miles for $4500 after negotiations. Also, included a ProTops High Rise Camper Shell. At 204K miles, the radiator, serpentine belt, timing belt, water pump, head gasket, and fluids were replaced. Current tires are Hankook Dynapro ATM (RF10) 265/70R16 112 T.

The previous owner was a retiring firefighter who took it on annual surf trips along the Pacific coast and has since upgraded to a new Mercedes Sprinter van.

So far I have performed the following:
I plan to inspect the brakes and suspension components later and service as needed. I will potentially install Bilstein 5100 or 4600 series shock absorbers.

We will eventually design and build out some drawers with additional storage/organization for camping and recreational activities.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any questions about the truck or work that I have done/plan to do.

I look forward to participating in the community forums/discussions and learning from the experiences of others!

I opted to go with LEDs to save on energy consumption and make it feel more updated/modern. I went with the ZEVOs over their standard LEDs as they are double the wattage as to ensure sufficient lumen output. They are considerably more expensive compare to standard incandescent bulbs, but I feel they were worth the investment.

Thanks, Yardbird! Nice RCLB. I plan to upload additional photos this week once I get a chance to detail it since doing all the work.

    awesome! thank you.

also is your truck a work spec model or not? dont think ive ever seen a 05-06 v8 reg cab with power options and the center overhead. i couldnt even find the part number for the headliner before i modified mine. i figured i had a rare bird now that ive added all that! lol

not to mention you have a grey interior, not tan.. must be rare. if i had grey i wouldnt of blacked my interior out!

You're welcome! I am not sure what the factory options or lack thereof define the work spec model. I entered the VIN into Toyota's website and it generated a PDF that provides information on the truck. See below. The previous owner bought it knowing he would be taking surf trips to Baja which explains the factory-installed vinyl flooring and 4WD options. The regular cab long beds are rather rare birds. I was pretty set on the double cab Limited w/ sunroof, but this one grew on me after a couple of weeks and turned out to be a much better "investment".

interesting. this is mine, All regular cabs of the 1st gen era were vinyl floor. never any option for carpet. Your interior color is the same as mine. must just be the lighting. but according to your interior color code youve got fawn (tanish)

anyways yours trucks almost a twin to mine. feel free to ask questions.. ive added quite a bit of things to mine and have had it torn down to almost a shell

Thanks for sharing and clarifying! You must be proud of yours as I see you have put a lot of time and energy into restoring it. Kudos!

Are you still running the factory alternator? I am considering replacing mine as preventative maintenance and upgrading to a 130A model - Denso (210-1065)

Are you running the Bilstein 5100s? I am considering installing new shock absorbs and springs so any recommendations are appreciated.

I have Billie 5100s with arb 885 springs and energy suspension isolators (so the springs fit) and I have 5100s rear with an icon 3 leaf aal. Lifted 2” up front and the rears about a 1/2” taller to keep some rake. Camburg upper control arms up front too. Thing drives like a dream with this setup.

Still on the stock alternator. But I have a sequoia 150 amp I’ll install eventually. (If your going to upgrade may as well go with the 150)

Nice ride/setup! I was originally thinking it would be nice to have my camper painted to match the truck, but the white actually makes sense for staying cooler under the sun while camping, etc.

I was considering going with the 4600s but might end up going with the 5100s. I don't want to regret not paying the extra $$ and getting the 5100s instead.

I forget the Sequoia is essentially the exact same platform when searching for parts. I will certainly have to go with the 150A option then when it comes time! Thanks for the recommendation!

Welcome! I was looking at that truck a month or so ago on CL, almost made the trip home to pick it up but settled for a 05 AC 4x4 in ND where I work. I'm happy with mine but was just looking at Toyota owners and saw a service ticket with " owner states noise in front end****needs new front diff" so naturally I'm flipping out lol but have not heard any noise in 4x4 or experienced any problems going in and out of 4x...that's a sweet ride and I'm glad I bumped into your post because I'm going to model my maintenance off your list.
