What configuration are you looking for in a Tundra? CM or DC?

    This is a concern...02E13722-C729-4D69-AB4B-8A0BCBF03FE1.jpg
Most DC SR5 can do 1500-1650 lbs if I remember correctly.

    Welcome Lisa.

My sticker says 1395 lbs payload on my 4wd doublecab. I can’t imagine stuffing a camper into the 5.5’ bed of a crewmax. Just sleep in the back seat. LOL.

There are campers that will work nicely in the back of a Tundra, good to do your research to see if the combo is what you really want.

I have my heart set on a Tundy but if it can't haul the camper that I want I will explore other ideas.

Well....thanks to you guys I had a slight change of plans in the truck department. After looking into it a bit more the Tundy just wasn't going to cut it. I had a good heart to heart with myself and asked what was I more willing to compromise on. The truck or the camper? When it came down to it I realized that the camper was the more important thing. The Adventurer 80RB is a nice camper but its the only hardside a Tundy can handle AND it was just the bare minimum as far as features and amenities go. I figured I would have gotten tired of the Adventurer pretty quickly and wanted a few more bells and whistles. So I did a little research and narrowed down the list of campers I really liked to about 4 or 5. They were all more than the Tundy's payload would allow. So enter plan B.... a 3/4 ton.
After Toys I've always been a Chevy girl.
I bought this big beast last fall and absolutely love it. Probably the nicest vehicle I've ever owned - Its a 2017 2500HD long bed with leather, heated seats, nav and back up cams. Had 27k on it when I brought it home.
    0329201549a~2.jpg
Then, after months of searching and searching and narrowing my search perimeter due to COVID travel restrictions and freaking out because I was never going to find a camper I finally found this one. Its a USED 2019 Wolf Creek 850 with pretty much every add on you can get. The previous owner only used it a handful of times and its basically new but I got it for about 1/3 less than a new one. I love it. And now that I have all of this I know the 80RB wouldn't have kept me happy for long.

Congrats on the rig. Nice to see that there are some people who have their priorities straight when it comes to the towing and hauling. Way too many "geniuses" that think airbags and beefier springs will magically make it ok to overload their vehicles. Just have to decide, is the truck or the load the priority, and purchase appropriately.

Gorgeous pic of the Tetons. Any more you can share?

The payload on the Chevy is 2950 according to the sticker. The camper is 2300 dry. So fully loaded I'm damn close to my max. I haven't had the guts to go down to the CAT scales to weigh it. Chebby handles it just fine. I was looking into bags just to make the ride a little smoother but as is its been great.

    And since you asked....
