What’s your location? I was just telling people today if I didn’t travel solo I wouldn’t be getting a winch LOL and by awesome I just mean it’s off grid and lots of cool stuff along the way. Not technical.

Lexington. I am getting my Tundra set up for camping. About to order an AT Overland Habitat. I have been backpacking and trunk camping for years. We went to CO this summer and that got me on this kick. We ride ATVs in WV a few times a year as well. Looking forward to similar times in the Tundra.

What's your long-term opinion on this pump? I'm looking for a cost effective solution I can swap between vehicles.
Onboard air would be nice, but not looking to buy two systems right now. Something like this would be a good start.

It’s very nice. Only issue is when I’m airing up people always stop and ask if I’m ok.
Sure that would happen no-matter the pump. It takes about 4 minutes per skinny 35” tire to go from 20-40psi. It seems nice and well made. happy to have it in the truck. The air chuck is surprisingly accurate too.

Think my manager is gonna approve my June overland trip in the next few days. I’m planning for CO, but really I’m just gonna drive around for two weeks. And find the Rocky Mountains ASAP. I don’t have an “ultimate destination” yet but would like to have one in the next few days so it’s easier to explain to non overland folks... I’m going to Sedona really worked for my last big trip. I’m looking to see some sights and ride my mountain bike in some cool places. Sedona was a nice place to strive for too which is necessary for me to have a goal. Though I remember from previous experience out of Kansas is a goal enough to keep moving LOL

Try Fruita or Telluride for some good MTB trails. Although, there are about 1000 places in CO to get in some good riding.

Surprised I never posted these here. What a trip. Over 4K miles of fun. About 9mpg. The suspension and tires handled it all from snow to Sedona dust. Loved it all! 14 nights no hotel or purchased camping. Paid for one shower one was free in TX. Lots of weird poops in the dessert. Think that’s what I miss the most of life on the road. The squat shits are epic X

Let me know when you are in the area, maybe we can grab lunch. I would love to tag along on some local day trips or over nights. my family and I went out west last summer and stayed in Silverton CO. It was great. The Rockies are just different.

E74B0B4A-10FE-4484-BC23-0E882B050EFA.jpg Sneak peak. Obviously not done, but getting there. The bedside and tailpipe will be cut. Interesting how much design has to go into a high clearance “simple” bumper. Also that’s a whole new departure angle I have there.
Glad Chad is the one fabbing because he’s informed me of the decisions that had to be made or gave me options all along the way. Can’t wait to pick her up next week. She’s gonna be a whole different animal when I get her back!

Oh it will be hard to drag this thing for sure. No mods were made to the truck for the bumper other than cutting the bedside.

I can’t wait to get desert dust on her again! My June vacation is pending, but I’m not sure I can accept a no at this point.

Wow man, love this build! Jealous you went to Sedona too. I used to live in Arizona and that’s where my wife and I got married in 07. We have lots of hours wheeling there in one of the most scenic places on earth.
