**I can't edit the poll title, but I edited the choices and thread title to reflect the suggestion of Amazon Music, which I hadn't thought of.

Any of you use either of these? Have used both and like one over the other?

I've used Spotify and really enjoy it. My subscription ended due to my phone carrier promotion, so before I continue with it, I was told to try Google Play Music. Maybe it's early days, but my initial reaction is I don't like the layout. This may be because I'm so used to Spotify however, so I'm going to give the trial period an honest go, but I thought I would also ask you folks here.

My wifes work friends suggested Google Play Music and well, a lot of them are meh imo hahaha.
I'd sooner trust the community here to help weight my opinions with.

I use Spotify. I listen to a lot of “Rock” stations and feel like they need to refresh that station more.

Rock/Metal here primarily also - agree with that sentiment about more refreshing of the list.

GPM, but so I can listen to the music that I've uploaded, and the podcasts that I've subscribed to. This is when I'm not in the truck, in the truck I listen to my own music via a USB drive I've loaded up.

I use Prime Music (from Amazon). I have used Napster, Google, Spotify, Pandora, etc. Amazon is less expensive and has EVERYTHING.

I have a bulk subscription for 6 people and have only handed out a couple licenses. If you want to try it free for a few weeks PM me. They may also have a 30 day free trial that auto renews..

I second Amazon Music. I have been really happy with it and it sees a lot more use than Pandora or Spotify.

My son showed me where an older .apk file to download that gives you the full version of spotify for your phone. It works fine and is stable.

It's out there if you look. Only reason to hate spotify is there is no Tool...

I never thought about Amazon. I'll have to give that a go as well before committing to one. Nice heads up!

Choice was Apple Music or Spotify for me. I chose Spotify. Works for my needs right now, although I’m heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem

I use and pay for Spotify subscription. I like their interfaces. i like their apps and like that you can download their app on a windows 10 PC. Very good interface.

If you are an apple user you should also consider Apple Music.

I have Amazon music too, but I prefer Spotify over it thus far.

If I type in Metallica on AP, I’ll gwt a few returns back. Let’s say I click on “Metallica Starion” AP intermixes otter bands with it.
On Spotify, it’ll play on Metallica if I choose “Metallica Station”

I would pay twice as much if a service would allow me to never hear Metallica.

Understood. I prefer to self direct my music and create stations and playlist that have content that I want to listen to. A lot of the time I like to just listen to an album from an artist and hear the entire album in the order they intended it to be listened to.

I like how Amazon is like having access to the greatest CD collection in history.

Spotify hands down. Listen to other peoples playlists or make your own. I add all the songs I like to a "mix" playlist and just put it on shuffle most of the time. Used to use Pandora but Spotify is far superior to that as well.

nope anything that Hetfield opens his mouth. we all have that one (or ten) bands we just can't stand. Metallica is one of mine(sorry @Sean266 ). Pantera is a close second, and I'm love metal.

Apple Music for me. Main reason is that I'd already paid for 1500-some songs, so why not keep those and just add to it for less money a month than what I was spending for individual songs.
