Years ago, I was on a business trip and the gentleman next to me on the flight boarded using two canes. He said that he went to a chiropractor for an adjustment a couple of years earlier. He walked in, the doctor did the neck manipulation, and they wheeled him out on a stretcher. There was no doubt about the cause. Neck manipulations weren't in my past, and I decided neck manipulations weren't in my future either.

Good to see you're healing up. It's amazing how family and friends and a good Dr. can help with recovery. And a lot of testicular fortitude!

hey @csuviper I'm glad you are out of the hospital - just put one foot in front of the other and the body will heal. As for your possible permanent neurological damage, do not take that sitting down. I was diagnosed with a TBI and have since made an almost 100% recovery. There are antioxidants to take to encourage healing in the brain (in my case specifically glutathione) as well as neurotherapy. It is like physiotherapy for the brain. It sounds like hoakey ass BS but it effing works - worked for my son having seizures as well.

If it does end up being muscular, I would also suggest seeking out someone who does fascia work. Fascia is the connective tissue under the skin but over muscle (think of that shiny stuff you see on beef sometimes at the store). Massage therapists, no disrespect meant at all, treat the issue at the source of the pain/issue but don't seek out underlying causes or sources of the imbalance. Someone trained in the manipulation of fascia is almost always a massage therapist or physio, but has been taught how to 'reset' the source of all of your problems.

    take care and speedy recovery!

Hey Brian!!! I’m so glad you are doing well!! Since I’m a healthcare worker I love hearing success stories! Some folks can go it alone and have good outcomes, but usually it takes a team. I’m so happy you are surrounded by good people!

Thank you everyone. I started back to working out at full weight around 6 months. The bad neck pains and numbness slowly faded almost completely away after about 8-10 months. Every once in a while I can feel some numbness here or there. Bad headaches but no pain here and there. I would say I’m back to 95%
