I am so sorry this happened to you, stay positive. It may take awhile, but you will be fine, too strong not to be. It will sound weird, this will become part of who you are, making a better, wiser, and stronger man.

So what this really comes down to is trauma to the artery. Either from chiropractic work or something from working out or combination of the two. Most likely cause is chiropractic work with quick manipulations of the upper neck, which is the style my chiro does.
The energy drink was ruled out.

Probably chiropractor, it happens. I know advice is futile at this point. Chiropractor is bad, get into yoga, you won’t go to a chiropractor again.

Don’t stop your fitness goals, 15-20 minutes of yoga keeps me straight, and I set off metal detectors at airports, not really but should.

Praying for you, and your neurologist, that he will know exactly what to do. Take it one day at a time. This too shall pass.

Hey Brian... you are still WAY early in your recovery... it is too early to say this is all you are going to get back. This is a long game and you are not even through the first quarter. I’ve been in the business for almost 30 years... Does it suck? F-ING ROYALLY! AND you still have a lot of recovery to go through. Take meds as prescribed... follow activity guidelines your MD and therapists lay out for you... and keep your follow up appointments to get the best outcome you can. YOU GOT THIS BRO!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!

I was rescued from a structure fire years ago, pulled out unconscious and transported to ER Code 3. I can remember the nurses saying (while I was unconscious), “we don’t think he’s going to make it.” Hey, I made it. So will you. All these prayers will be answered.
