As @texasrho83 stated separate accounts, mine, hers, bills, and savings.
I buy what I want, she buys what she wants, no questions asked.

Over the years I've tried to show my wife my mods, or other stuff I purchased for various hobbies.
She says "that's cute, enjoy your little hobby", she doesn't care.
I literally bought the Amp steps and seat heaters for her..

I've never understood separate accounts, seems more like dating than being married. Not at all questioning they way you do things, to each his own, but I've always considered marriage as a totally joint thing, building a life together, all aspects of it.

Besides, isn't Texas a community property state anyways?

What front bumper do you have? I think I saw one photo without the lights and another with lights. Same bumper? I'm looking for a front bumper w/o winch or middle lights. May purchase a bumper instead of bumper shellz. Contemplating and pricing a chrome delete.

It's Rough Country. I've only had one aftermarket bumper so it must be the same.

We aren't hiding anything from each other, we trust each other.

We don't have the desire to audit each other's purchases and/or bank accounts.
She is my wife, I don't own her nor do I tell her what to do unless she asks...

We have pretty much the same annual income per year..
We both put money into the bills and savings accounts.
What is left over of her income is hers and mine is mine, and even some of that goes into other savings accounts.
We generally split big household purchases, vacations, and any emergency that may come up (like the dog's $1400 surgery last week)..

We both buy groceries, gas, the stuff for the house, etc..
It works for us..

Wasn't calling you out at all, that's why I made a point of saying to each his own. So I will rephrase what I was saying.
In a community property state all assets of both married individuals are considered equal property of both. So might as well simplify it and just have one joint account.

 

That has no relevance whatsoever to my situation and why we have separate accounts.
Bills get paid and money gets saved, that is really all I care about..
It is actually none of the state's fucking business about our personal finances unless perhaps a situation is brought up in legal proceedings.
That certainly isn't the case, so far..

Already have WT throughout the entire interior. Had to do that shortly after purchase in 2014 because of my at the time young son thought mud was a shoe accessory. lol.

Good thought on stubby antenna. Cant be too much $$, right?

 

Hope all goes well with the install when parts arrive. I only buy stuff if I need it and if it has some utility. I also do not buy on credit. Avoid buying on credit under all but the most dire circumstances and only for actual needs, not for 'wants'.
