I recently went in to my local Dealer to trade my 2019 TRD PRO for a 2020 example. There was a used Land Cruiser on the lot. One thing lead to another and I saw a pic of the 2020 land Cruiser Heritage limited edition in black. Wow what a badass truck!! I have a long history of hunting trips out of my buddys Land Cruiser but have never owned one After a long back and forth on pricing/trade and an unsuccessful attempt to find one available for dealer trade we ordered one in black/black. Now the agonizing wait and the process of maybe selling my PRO in the meantime. I have totally loved and enjoyed my PRO. Best truck I have ever owned by far. My parking situation is total garbage and I have 4 cars so she has to go. Maybe at some point I may buy another one. The suv just makes better sense for me right now. Thanks to everyone who helped me with my previous research on the 2020 PRO I was looking at

You’ll love it. And I truly believe this iteration of the LC with the 5.7/8 speed tranny will be the last of the 3rd world ready LCs sold here in the states. They’re amazing trucks!

Congrats on the Land Cruiser! They are awesome trucks. If I had the opportunity, I’d be all over a Land Cruiser. I guess I’m just working my way up lol.

Don’t forget to post some pics when you get it!

Congrats....I did look at a LC parked right next to a ‘19 PRO while my sales clown ran off to get keys. Way too much money for me right now, but I never thought I’d even consider one. Can’t wait to see pics

I have a 4 Runner made exclusively in Japan. There’s no magic. The 4R has interior clicks and squeaks... so the build quality is no better from what I can tell.

When I ordered my WRX they quoted me 6-8 weeks to get it from Japan. I know, not the same, but it gives a ballpark idea. I think it actually took 10 weeks.

Congrats, the LC will be my next purchase when the truck is paid off and it will be my son’s truck. I like that the heritage edition LC deletes the 3rd row giving you more room. I hope in the redesign they make it more efficient, less weight, maintain the power and give us a more rugged version like the Australians get.

Honestly I doubt any lead time. There’s no shortage of inventory. The overall design is long in the tooth... like the Tundra.

No, there IS a shortage of quality from the Big 3. We are currently in a very RICH time for acquiring quality, as the economic requirements for said products are scarce.

WRX-STI, LandCruiser, GoldWing.....Made In Japan STILL carries the quality badge of just that, Made in Japan, and you shall wait for it. No worries, Detroit left with TARP, we turn to Japan.

General Motors STILL has electrical problems with their DRLs ALWAYS having (1) of them burned out in their SUV/Truck platform, going on 10 years now. (!?!?!?!???)

The LC is a benchmark. Congratulations OP!

I own 2 Tundras (2017 and 2019) made in a Texas and a 2018 4 Runner that was made in Japan. There are a ton of Japan made 4 Runners sitting on lots. There’s no shortage of 2019 LCs to be had. Not to say they aren’t great, but not many people appreciate the tank like durability of the LC. I owned a 2013 LC for a couple years and a 1989 LC was in our family until 2013. There’s nothing magical about the built in Japan moniker. My 2018 4 Runner has more clicks and squeaks than either of my Tundras. The LCs entirely built in Japan have the same 5.7 Camshaft tower leak as all the rest of the 5.7s. Parts are sourced from the same suppliers and sent to factories all over the world.

It’s interesting reading here that the Japan built vehicles is no different than ones built here. Few reviews I’ve seen on YouTube about recent 4runners and 200 series landcruiser is they were solid and no rattles and squeaks on washboard roads. Now common sense tells me there are no vehicles that can be dead quiet with no rattles, it’s impossible but I think the Quality control and checks is better in Japan, not without flaws of course.

My Indiana built Tundra was flawless over the 20 year period.

Land Cruiser is solid and the quality design and components are evident when you simply look under the hood. It is clearly designed and built to a higher standard. According to all I’ve read, reliability and durability are the top goals for the LC (along with off road ability).

Toyota’s may not have the newest/greatest tech, and may not be the sexiest, but they work well and last a long time. And to me that’s sexy.

Congratulations man! The ONLY other vehicle I would have if I didn’t have my Tundra would be a LC. And one day we will have one. Many experts say if they had one vehicle to travel the world in, or be in at the apocalypse, it would be a LC. Engineered for a 25 year lifespan, at a minimum, it is probably the best utility vehicle ever created. I’ve had J vin 4Runners, one of which I put 225k miles on it, and it was still solid with not rattles at all. My dad still has his 2001 J vin 4Runner with about 300k miles on it and it is still as solid as the day he bought it - with 100k on it!

Cousin’s Tacoma, not built in Japan, has some rattles. Our new Lexus GX, with a J vin, is solid as a rock. I fully expect it to be the same 10 years from now. Hopefully my TX built Tundra is as solid.

The Land Cruiser is amazing and the HE looks badass. I'd have one if they didn't cost 90k+
