Griots Correcting Cream is like a light cut compound, and Perfecting Cream is similar to a polish. What are you doing for protection afterwards? Were you planning on using the polishing pads with the Correcting Cream and the finishing pads for the Perfecting Cream?

I have only used the buff and shine urofiber pads and loved them. I think 5 and 5 is pushing it but maybe. Get a pad brush, and do you have a compressor? You can clean them with those and reuse

I’ve had good luck with Meg’s ceramic spray. I just switched to 303 Aerospace touchless sealant to try it and will report back with my findings.

Yes that is the plan for the for the pads and cream. Still deciding on what to do on the protection side. Open to suggestions. My truck stays outside 24/7 and less than a mile from the Gulf of Mexico.

I figured 5 would be on the lite side but just trying to get an idea on how many will be needed. Yes I will be getting a pad brush and yes I do have a compressor for cleaning.

Your plan looks really solid. I haven’t tried Buff n Shine’s Uro-Cell pads, but their Uro-Fiber pads are excellent. The Griots G9 is a great machine, and the creams you mentioned are my favorite.

Ive read through this whole thread, I want to keep my truck looking good for as long as possible, but I'm not willing to spare the time I know some poeple are willing to sacrifice (dont want to totally fall in the rabbit hole). Currently for my truck and motorcycle I have been doing this:

Whenever I feel like it and its a nice day I wash the vehicle with whatever brand carwash I happen to have, usually zipwax turtlewax carwash. I do this by spraying it on my vehicle with my power washer, scrubbing it with a microfibre cloth, then rinsing it off. While its still wet I hit it with Lucas slick mist and rub it in/wipe it off with dry microfibre cloths.

I am willing to spend a little more time for better protection, but dont want to spend a whole morning detailing. Are there specific products that are easily available online (preferably on Amazon, I'm in canada) that would be superior in cleaning and protecting my vehicles but wouldnt add too many more steps or time?

Thanks! I checked them out and they have a lineup specifically for black vehicles. I think I am going ot get the wash and wax followed by the black acrylic polish and then the black wax (the spray one). I figure I'll do one or 2 really good full polish and wax jobs a year and then do the wash and wax followed by the spray every week or 2. They are available on canadian Amazon, and likely ata canadian tire as well, though I'll order online for now during this virus crap.

Thats exaclty what I was looking for, thanks.

Question for the reload users out there. I apply reload after every wash my truck is coated with Cquartz is this overboard or a waste of product? I think it’s recommended for Cquartz maintenance but just thought I’d ask. I didn’t know if I should just use elixir or where that fits in. I have a bottle that doesn’t see much use as of now.

Adding Reload every week is definitely overkill. Once a month is overkill. Reload isn’t cheap, so you’re definitely wasting money, which I’m an expert at. I’d do Elixer regularly if you like, and Reload every 2-3 months maximum. Even that may be overkill.

working on the wife's car. it's 10 years old and has a clear bra on the half the hood, across the front and then the mirrors. what a pain in the ass removing it! took all day to get the hood done and all the old residual adhesive off.

ordered myself an eraser wheel to help speed it up.

I think you can go 3-4 months easyvbetween reload application depending in if you garage it and how much sun it gets where you park. I say just wash with reset and dry, if you need to touch up areas then use elixir.

All great products. Perl is the only one there that isn’t in my regular rotation. I do like it, just like other products better.
Don’t be fooled by the “cherry” description on the IronX. That stuff stinks to high heaven. Works so much better than most others, but definitely stinks. The only iron remover I’ve used that competes with it is Shine Supply Smooth Move. Works just as well, but doesn’t smell as bad.

What product do you use over pearl? Also do you use ironx as a wheel cleaner or should I be using something else? Seems like there is a more cost effective way of cleaning wheels. Btw I haven’t used it on wheels yet

Perfect my truck is left outside in south Florida so the elements can be a little rough especially in the summer. Super hot and a ton of rain. I have a bottle of elixir so I will be putting that to work.

iron x removes all of brake dust, little rust spots and crap from the road that builds up over time. they are hard to see, especially on black paint, but they are there.... as for the compound and polish, go to adam's polishes website. i use their products and they are AWESOME

Is there a product specifically made to keep dust from accumulating on my truck? I'm on a dusty dirt road and it sucks in the summer and whenever they lay down fresh gravel
