That's what I do, but make sure you don't have anything on your truck when you spray stuff onto the paint. Don't want to push dust/contaminates into the paint/clear coat.

I would encourage people to not be victims of groupthink and to not trust opinions that are founded on groupthink rather than actual experience.

There are several threads on this and other forums, lots of independent YouTube videos, etc, that show really great results and a lot of people that are very happy with how well this product works.

I've been around for awhile. I don't try to come off as a detailing expert, but I've been detailing all of my own cars for over 20 years. I do a pretty good job and get great results. I'm willing to try a product out before judging it. I tried F11 and was extremely pleased with the results.

You don't have to apply it after every wash. The first time I applied it I did 3 coats over the first 2 days. After that I didn't reapply for 3-4 months at a time. I still think it's the best product out there for headlights, glass, and trim.

Just my opinion. Not going to argue over a product. I don't consider myself a detailer and have no loyalty to any single brand. I'm a pretty critical and objective guy when it comes to people that are trying to sell me shit, as many on this forum can vouch for.. I was really happy with F11.

Groupthink and influence would much weigh much heavier towards the pro-F11 people than those of us who know better. There are several very bad reviews here about it, including one showing it's worse than turtlewax spray sealant. And like I said, a few friends, including one who is a detailer advised me to save my money for something else. It's just overhyped like so many products out there. I will say that F11 probably has the best marketing people, maybe right behind Chem Guys. Its extremely expensive too which is the worst part, especially with its performance as far as longevity. You could get a legit ceramic coating, like CQuartz, for that money and apply it and have years of protection instead of weeks.

If you're going right to a ceramic product, even a spray wax, you'll not need the ULW.

Interesting debate about F11.....I have a friend who uses it on his Harley, which makes perfect sense because it has a huge following among motorcycle enthusiasts. He absolutely swears by it. I'm going to give him some Bead Maker and ask him to do a comparison for me. One of the drawbacks of F11 is the price, and I think there are comparable products out there at a much more competitive price point.

You dont need a $150 DA to start out with, the Harbor Freight DA is a nice machine to start with and $79 without a coupon.

Buy once, cry once. I have a HF polisher that I would sell cheap. I wish I never bought it once I tried a GG6, which I upgraded to a G9.

You're correct....but sometimes, things are more expensive because they're worth it...and the Griots G9 is one such thing. The Harbor Freight DA is warranted for 90 days....the Griots is warranted for life. Griots customer service is second to none....they will absolutely stand behind their product. It has more power, better ergonomics and less vibration than the Harbor Freight...and, yes, I've used both. There's a ton of real estate on these trucks, and a little more comfort goes a long way when polishing one.

I can cut firewood with a Poulan, but If I'm gonna do that, I'm looking at a Husky, Echo or Stihl.

Well crap should I just return the ULW and the B&D polisher and just go with the spray ceramic? Is it gonna be that big of a difference?

I would consider it. That polisher won't do much for you. And a spray wax or sealant will work just as good or better than the ULW. Spend that money on a griots polsiher or even just a bunch of good microfiber towels

Obviously the HF is not a GG or Rupes machine; but by gauging by the OPs arsenal an HF machine would be better then that B&D machine. Let alone he can go pick up a HF machine today and if you dont like it you can take it back.

Yup, you gotta pay to play thats why I own a Rupes LHR15.

Haven't been able to justify the expense of a long throw yet. I expect that once I get to try one, I'll probably be adding to my arsenal. So many good ones to choose from, and now there are cordless machines in the mix!!!

Regardless of how well the product works, the price is ridiculous. It’s nearly $4.00 per ounce. It would have to outperform it’s competition by light years to justify it.
Reload is expensive, and still runs between $2.00 to $2.50 per ounce. There’s never any reason to use more than one coat of Reload.

If it works for you, and you like it, that’s awesome. I just can’t see it being a good value price wise.

Watched some performance test against HCW and CMX and for the price it works great.

gonna return the polish, ULW, and ultimate quick wax I bought and just try the TW and see how it does. If it works decent it’s a can’t beat buy for 9$ a bottle.

my boss was telling me how much he likes F11 then said he paid 80$ a bottle :eek2:

You can get a 5 year true ceramic coating for that. I paid $65 for the 50ml carpro cquartz kit, you could get the kit + reload for 80 lol. You'd be set for years.

I have it on 2 cars right now. It goes on easily - I used a MF pad and wiped off with MF towel. Looks good, but too soon to see its longevity.

For 9$ a bottle I might just apply with every wash so longevity might not be a big issue.

I used it on my daughter’s car when it came out. I can say that it works decently. Not the best, but at that price point it’s a solid product. I don’t know exactly how long it lasts, but at a little over 4 months it was gone.

I think I paid under $7 for my bottle. Definitely worth it for my son's car, as he doesn't obsess over it like I do my Tundra.

Getting ready to pull the pin and order myself a G9 from Griots. So now I am down to pads and everyone seems to have their own opinion of what works best for them. I think I am going to go with Buff and Shine Uro-Cell Pads. Found them at Autoality for a great price and the reviews I've seen on them are pretty good.

So would 5 Polishing Pads and 5 Finishing Pads be enough for a Tundra? Think I am going to go with the Griots Correcting Cream and follow up with their Perfecting Cream.
