I got my RB20 slims on this weekend. I like them, but two things are bugging me the more I look at them. The gap. Which I think I can make the slots longer on the brackets to slide them in a little more. And the brackets hanging down so low. IMG_6677.jpg image.jpg

Maybe I can grind off a little at the bottom of the brackets. I’ll have to look at them more carefully to see if it’ll work. I don’t wanta weaken them to much.

Disappointing to hear the gap prevails on the slims. How about the originals? Gap less but still noticeable? I’m looking for running boards that will hide the silver Talon cat shield bracket attached to my frame so I need something tucked up close to the body. Sounds like neither RB10 or RB20 are going to be an option for me.

Definitely don’t grind, however a sawzall or a vertical band saw would work perfectly and not mess with the integrity of the metal. As always measure twice, cut once.

I know your post is old. How did your spray job hold up? Thinking of doing these myself. Thanks!
