Can one person install the RB20s? Or is it a two person job

You can do it alone. The brackets go on 1st then you put the step on so no need to hold it up while trying to bolt it on

I know there was some concern over the small gap, but how is it compared to OEM running boards? They look high and tight compared to regular running boards in the pictures.

I installed mine alone and tried to get them as close to the body as possible. No gap at all on mine.

They look good. I wanted something that mounts close to the body, but not rock sliders. You lose a lot of ground clearance with OEM running boards. I bent my driver side one pretty bad hitting a hole off road, so I’ve been running without them for a while. I’m looking at adding a 2” lift to the front, so these would work pretty good for that setup.

I do like the Rhino’s but that still should not happen in Pa. I’m in Pa and my other Tyger steps never had any rust on them. Left them on my 4runner Pro when I traded it in. I have there steps now. After returning the go rhinos the Tyger steps bedliner finish is much better than the GORhinos.

I am! Just outside of Charlotte, what about you? Got my Pro in October of last year. From what I've read those W drop steps are usually found on Tundras distributed from Southeast Toyota so I figured you were in the same region.

Have a great deal here local, only problem is that they are for a double cab. Definitely a dumb question: will the double cab version fit a crew max?

Man that looks 100% better than the gap on my set of slims. Mine are hanging down at least 2 inches lower than yours. I hate the way they look and Go Rhino won't do anything about it.

I would keep raising hell about it with them. You bought them because they were described to look like this and the first ones clearly had different brackets and didn't. Heck, I ended up buying the originals instead of the slims because of the way yours fit haha. That's crazy that they aren't being helpful. I ordered mine through AutoAnything and they sent the double cab ones instead of crewmax. I ended up calling Go Rhino to verify the part number and they handled the return and shipment of the new ones without me even asking, so I'm surprised they're so unwilling to help here.

How are they holding up now? I'm about to grab a bottle of that stuff if it's that special.

Yeah they're being pretty shitty about it. Actually just called them based on those other pics (thought maybe they took our feedback and redesigned the brackets) and they basically told me to pound sand. Said they fit tight on the double cab because the brackets mount in a different location than they do on the crew max.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I didn't even think about a different fit between doublecab vs crewmax, but that still seems bogus. Brackets are just in different places, not sure how that would effect how far they sit way from the cab. I'm digging my regular ones, but this definitely makes me feel some sort of way about GoRhino as a whole.

Got my RB20's (original width) installed and love 'em. So much better than the rusted stepdown bars that my Tundra came with when I bought it a few years ago.

Put on my RB20s and love them. A lot more functional along with the added door ding protection (barring a truck that’s higher than mine parks beside me :))

I am looking to pull the trigger on RB20 slim lines. Does anyone know if they solved the gap fit issues posted a few months ago?
    Thanks

I don't know that it has been fixed. If I step back a little, the gap does disappear, though.

@BettyWhite20 thabks for doing that, if the double is 80”, 87” sounds right for the crew max. I just wanted to be sure before I pick up a pair that was on a ram 2500. Think they are the same length just a different mounting bracket.

Installed RB20 slim version. Very happy with them and glad I didn’t get the regular ones as I believe it would be too wide for my taste. I brought them out away from the truck and don’t care for any gaps in between. Here’s my shoes size 11 for reference. I hope this will help with deciding for anyone looking to purchase a set.

I returned the full size because of issues with them. I think the slims look better. I maybe switching mine up eventually to these.

As a 6 foot tall guy these look great, but how are they for your shorter friends and kids? Looking to replace my N Fab predator style steps for something that’s more friendly for my mom who has back issues and toddler

Question to those who've already installed the RB20's, does it matter which direction the brackets are installed? Bolt side of brackets facing the front or rear of the truck?
