Which one was this light? I'm thinking about getting something similar on ebay.

Also, to fit the 2018 LED Sequoia headlights, only other thing needed was the bottom panel and the harness?

Wonder what will need to be trimmed!

So far I am impressed, but... Acceleration took a hit, only 5.5 seconds 0-60 now instead of 5.0:turtleride:

I think these Icon Billet UCA's are creaking now... making a ton of noise and sounds like something is breaking. wondering if the ball joints are bad or if the noise is coming from the heim joints. so hard to troubleshoot without help!

i took the covers off and there was some dry build up in there, but they seemed clean enough to me, no obvious damage.

i cycled the suspension with a jack many times, i don't hear the creaking then. Just when driving and slightly turning, i hear sounds.

    Ideas?

Update in creaking noises: turns out it was a metal bracket under the front plastic bumper that was rubbing on the inside tube of the Nfab bumper. guess it took a couple of weeks for the bracket to wear through the powder coating, but once it did, it was metal on metal contact and the slight shifting of the frame relative to the bumper resulted in the god awful sound.

so glad its fixed! ICON have been proven innocent (this time)

Great build I’ve been wanting to put Kings on my sequoia. You happen to need a buyer for those rock warrior wheels?

Finally got some additional armor from RCI's last sale.

Trans/X-Fer case skid now installed! waiting on Tundra off road package fuel tank strap with bolts in order to install the fuel tank skid (the most important piece IMO, since this tank is fully exposed plastic!).

Just need to tighten those 2 bolts where the plates meet

First off, your Giant Tree is beyond awesome! Definitely well thought out and tasteful mods that take this rig to another level...

Given you seem rather handy and did most of this yourself, Did you have any issues installing those dobinsons in the rear?

I installed 1.5” spacers a few weeks back on my ‘08 Sequoia and was deterred when the socket drive of my OEM Automotive Tools Coil Spring Compressor part # 27035, didn’t fit within the hole you come up from in the center of the spring. This caused me to compress the coil into the rear lower arm, which worked fine for installing a spacer, but I have concerns about how this will work when trying to actually compress and remove my current spring and spacer to put in the new coils.

Thinking I might be able to get the tool in now mid spring and then put an extension on my wrench to come up through the hole that way and make it work...

    Any help appreciated..

I had started the process of trying to remove the stock rear coils myself, but because of the airlift airbags that I had in there previously, I ended up deferring the labor and installation of the Dobinson's coils to off-road warehouse so they could do the full installation and alignment for me.

I was never interested in the Sequoia until this thread. You've done a great job on this build.

The final piece of armor is in!

The tundra RCI fuel tank skid works on the Sequoia, but not without slight modification ( for me at least)

1st, I ordered the tundra off road package tank straps because you need the two bolts on the rear strap. Front strap stays same. Note, when installing of course support tank with a jack, but when putting the strap in, Install the side by the driveshaft with the pin and cotter, then the side with the bolt. There is a tab on the bolt side of the strap that I had to bend slightly. Sorry no pics, but it won't fit until you bend it.

2nd, the skid plate comes with two brackets, the inner bracket just gets attached to a threaded hole up by where the forward fuel tank strap pin sits. The other bracket attaches to the frame, and while there is a pre threaded hole in the vicinity, no combination of rotating or flipping that bracket allowed for proper alignment So I ended of drilling a hole in the underside of my frame rail, tapped it and was able to install a bolt to secure the skid plate.

All in all I am very happy with RCI products!

the engine and trans/x-fer skids are Aluminum, fuel tank is steel, wasn't an aluminum option when i ordered

no way a Sequoia could fit a larger tundra tank, the IRS and rear crossmember wouldn't allow it. already a tight fit with the 26!
