Ghosting effect on HUD

I still see some residual 2nd images.

Are there different part numbers or any other indicators on the windshield? I have a 24 platinum that has ghosting too, so I am curious if there is a definitive way of determining before going through the hassle of going to the dealership, only to have them tell me that it functions as normal. Mine isn't terrible ghosting but I feel like I am pre-lasik surgery without my contacts and my astigmatism going balls out on my vision.

same issue I had taking pics for you...phone cams pick up the reflection differently than our eyes.

 

So this issue was from day one. Not something that happened over time ... and would have been there before you tinted the windshield.

I believe the Platinum is supposed to come with a laminated windshield while higher end models come with laminated side windows as well.
The Limited and SR5 come without lamination.
I assumed the lamination was for road noise but maybe it has something to do with the HUD as well.
My HUD looks fine on my 2025 (and I love it).
On yours, could be that Toyota installed the wrong windshield at the factory ... or perhaps the windshield was damaged in transit and whoever the dealer used to replace it, replaced it with the non-laminated one.
Just strange that you didn't notice it before the window tint was installed. Maybe the tint enhanced the ghosting effect.

 

I didn’t have time to play around with it when I picked up the truck as it went to a shop almost right away to install PPF and tint.
