I would if I saw something bad. But not at that point. Maybe he's one of those new free roaming kids.

I don't think the cops would do anything or scare kids, but why wait for something bad to happen.

You never know, the kids you help will always remember your kindness. It's difficult at the outset but think of the difference you make.

Just be sure to explain it to your kids why you are being so kind

Show everyone (Your kids, wife, neighbors, and the free range children) what you're made of, that you're the bigger man, the leader of the pack. When it's fam time, the free rangers hit the bricks, otherwise be humble and kind.

True. But it's nothing like that.

....... takes a village to rear a child.....

Tell them to stay off lawn as you have (expensive) grass treatment

Invite them over at your next Barby

Tell the parents ( better to have good neighbors) that you will file them in your taxes next year

Try being nice to the rug rats a few times, they will get to appreciate you a bit more and your wishes

Chat with them a few times over on subtle notes. Next time they will start calling you "Mister ......"

    Watch the world go by.......

I let kids play on my front yard all the time. I'm just thinking of the safety of the kid. What's he doing when noone is watching him. I would not mind if he came by and played with other kids.
