I’m nearing 12k miles with mine and zero issues with where my drain is. The drain is unpressurized. Routing it is a bit awkward to make sure it’s always running downhill but still pretty simple to do.

When you do drill the pan, go slow. My step bit chewed through at a way quicker rate than I expected and I got lucky and stopped at the right size. It takes very little effort to thread the fitting in. I put some fipg on the threads and outside of it just to make sure it didn’t leak.

Definitely will. Working on it this afternoon and tomorrow. Having to swap my ebay bs turbos out. Using some other cheap ones just slightly bigger. Having to add an intercooler as iat were stupid high on quick pools hit 186. Nope not doing that lol. Changing up the style of turbo connection. Rerouting drain lines and feed lines. Hopefully can figure out why I cant run a boost controller. Don't want anything higher than 8lbs. No controller I was getting 5.5 maxed with it and now without it I'm spiking into 15 lbs under wot. 7 to 8 at 85% throttle.

I'm curious if you can't make that oiling system self contained out back at the turbos with an oil cooler and single pump. That is such a long run for the factory oil pump to move oil, and I know it is probably low risk, but the idea of losing a feed or return line along that 15' run makes me cringe a little.

Edit: unless you are using a hard line for the runs? Then I'd only be concerned about the oil pump

Oh it pumps it for sure. Oil pressure stays good after roughly a year of having it back there. Busted a seal one day at idle in yard and lost probably 2 quarts in 5 minutes. Also run mobil 1 only at 5w30 because I'm in west central flordia instead of 5w20.

Which boost controller? I run the innovative scg-1 and haven’t had any issues controlling boost. How do you have yours plumbed?

I like the idea of a separate oil system for my setup too. But I can't find like a kit with all the stuff needed. It is more like a custom system. Considering my workload I will let that for another moment maybe and use the truck oil system as usual.

That sounds way overly complicated and too many failure points. There’s no need for all that.

Cheap one that came with the kits. Have 2 and both do it. Have tried it setup with each turbo and waste gate ran seperately and one turbo running both wastegates as well as one turbo with a t fitting to both w.g.. the last seems to allow me a steadier 7 to 8lbs but at wot goes to 15. While just turbos plumbed directly to w.g.only allow 5lbs maxed wot

Yeah maybe if it wasn't being used as my daily work truck or the short plan of just a 10lb street toy. If this motor fails and money is right at that time I'll venture into it possibly but also dont want all the added cludder back there either. Will post pics once everything is back together tomorrow of where its at now. Still going to be far from the finish but its a trial an error setup right now.

Any issue with your water methanol system? Also how long is yours lasting before refill needed?

No issues. Really depends on how much I’m in boost as to how long it lasts.

I was looking into it briefly. May still go that route later. What system are you using? Ive found several different one cheap and not.

AEM. Simple setup. It makes a difference on the iat’s and AFR’s some as it is a fuel and helps cool things off. I use it more as a safety net than anything.

Highly encourage anyone running water/methanol use the "recommended" solenoid in the instructions. It's a great safety net, until it isnt. Can't scream this warning loud enough.

Also, @Emd513 - if your springs are good, the Google box really only points to a few issues for your boost spikes.

    Essentially, the list is:

    Vacuum leak
Inefficient or improperly configured boost controller
    Insufficient waste gate sizing

If you look through some of the somewhat recent pages of this thread, Jesse posted a video about to properly plumb the EBC, so it.mught be worth confirming that as well (doubtful it's your issue, but still worth ruling it out and double checking things).

That's a big bump in boost for the last little bit of throttle. Could just be big turbo lag, so maybe the fastest option is to dial the WG duty cycle down and see if that helps.

IMO is a must! Due to the level of the tank compared to the intake.
