Since we are talking about plugs, what would be a reason to go with a different heat range on the plug? Meaning, what signs/issues/problems would one be seeing? I seem to recall discussion being <10PSI, stick with the recommended IHK22's, >10psi, go with a step up in heat range. And the higher number means a colder plug?

I looked like mad for the IKH22's that Whipple suggested, only to realize that it was a typo as noted by @Wynnded and @Mdl. In fact, I still have no idea which is correct.. But I ordered them from RockAuto with some other parts, so shipping didn't bother me. As long as they aren't coming from Amazon or eBay, I don't mind paying a little in shipping - I've personally received too many counterfeit parts from them.

A colder plug removes heat faster reducing chances of detonation/pre-ignition. They can have drawbacks like fouling/rough idle/lower mpg. I haven't experienced those well maybe mpg. I went with them as it was suggested when I installed the SC.
The 22's are fine and if the plugs looks like it's over heated/pre ignition maybe try a step colder.
The 24's are 2 steps colder than stock.

did he seafoam the gas, oil, or both? I usually do both, and change the oil after 100 miles

Both as I understand it, and one or two tanks through and back to what it was doing before. I don't think he's changed the oil yet.
