Sequoia was towed to Firestone last night, I had anxiety with the mobile deal. Now I get to worry all day that there are other issues, I have a slew of weird codes I never had before, hoping from coolant in the intake/not starting on last crank.

Evap has been there for years, the MAF failed and was replaced (I sent the failed MAF to TurboKits for diagnosis) I have never seen the air crap & the entire system is from the 70k donor motor/I had never had any of those codes before.

I wouldn’t worry about taking it to Firestone - I have a buddy that works there..

But seriously, what in the world is going on with you sequoia???? Chewed up wiring loom somewhere??

Those air pumps are high current, 50Amp if memory serves, maybe the fuse blew while cranking? Would be a crazy coincidence for them to go at the same time as the starter...although they are known to fail regularly.

I’m hoping there is no engine damage and the starter is as far as it goes.

I’ll deal with the rest, hopefully once it runs properly they’ll clear. If not I’ll check the fuses but I did check every fuse hoping one of them was the starter issue.

That devil is back on my shoulder, telling me to do bad things...think it would be safe-ish with the 85mm SC pulley and the 7" crank pulley? I know the 77.5mm SC pulley and this would probably seal the deal on the stock drivetrain...

XAT couldn't give me boost numbers as they vary per application, but they said that the 7" crank overdrives by 20%

Yeah...always had that urge with the Tacoma.
And I'm sure I'm gonna have it with the Tundra.
Going to pick up the Tundra tonight after the Magnuson install.
We'll see how long i'm going to be satisfied with the level of boost.

If my math is right, running this with the 85mm SC pulley would be the equivalent of a stock crank pulley and somewhere between the 65mm and 70mm SC pulley...

I have a 6.71 inch on and going up to 7 inch with the 1.9 inch SC pulley. I believe extra fuel management and cooling IAT's is beneficial.
    I have the 2.0 not 1.9...someday.

The 7" and real 65mm sounds like the correct choice :D

All the boost! I'll probably install the 7" after the Haltech so at least I'll have some better safeguards.

    Dammit!!!
Our favorite Cajun Restaurant is right across the Freeway from the installer and the Wife tells me She wants to stop and eat after picking up the Tundra!!!
    WTF!!!!!
Thats the last Damn thing I want to do after picking up the Newly SuperCharged Tundra!!!!
Especially after having seveeeeeral Beers with my Crawfish!!
Which of course is going to make it even harder to stay off the skinny pedal!!!!
Might be a wise move to let Her drive my truck home and have me drive Her Tacoma!!!
Of course I may be bailing Her Ass out of jail if we go that route.....

Is the XAT balanced to their crank pulley? I'm sure it is. PROSpeed's 7 inch too, $399? ASP will take my good (somewhat new) crank pulley and machine a balanced billet 7 inch for $350.
That will give me a 4.25% increase over the 6.71 I have. Still gotta see what boost psi that will put me at. Currently 13.5-14psi.

@snivilous I'm sure can make lower crank pulley option with an interchangeable pulley ring. We used to have these back in the SVT days.

The suspense is killing me, especially when they called at 10am I thought that was too fast, can't be good news & it was basically we're just starting, where is the wheel lock :p which was in the coin holder in the open in front of the center console.

    grrr

It's made specifically for their XAT/ATI damper, bolts up to the hub that the damper uses.

They just called, said the connector also fried, 90980-11400, local dealer has it for 8 bucks, they are charging 50 installed. Starter bench tests dead.

Do you know if it’s the old style, or new smaller style starter?

The old larger style was a series wound unit, and the newer slightly smaller part is a permanent magnet type. I don’t know when they switched, but as far as I’m aware, all parts supersede out to the new style. While permanent magnet is more efficient, it is certainly less robust when abused… which is why I asked what type of starter failed. Last I checked, there are ways to build a new series wound starter.

I'll post a picture of the dead one, it's the same as the one I installed in December with the new motor.
