Onto a different modification, I did get my new plate in the mail. My father's name was Elvis. I can't believe it was available as I figured it would be one of the first plates taken in every state. Somebody did have it but cancelled the registration in November, almost like I was meant to have it. Now pops can ride with me anywhere I go!

That sucks they damaged it in transit, glad to see it was at least salvageable. Did you get the extreme or the nomad? I am thinking I don't necessarily want it to be a firm/harsh shift as long as they're telling me it will have more clamping force and better preserve the transmission with the increased power level. Hopefully your transmission is better for it either way.

I like the casual occurrence of a 3rd gen with the cab off in the background. As for the plate, that’s pretty cool!

They don't make em like they used to! That green Sienna on my lift in the background is a 2025 with 200 miles on it. No AC concern. Someone cross threaded a 10mm bolt for the rear evaporator core and it leaked out all the freon. Nice job!

I should have also pointed out that I am indeed happy with the valve body upgrade. I think I was just expecting a little bit firmer shifts than what it delivered. But it is still a big improvement over stock and I do have the piece of mind now that the transmission should be a bit stronger.

Did you try reducing torque reduction in Trans>Torque management for 2-3 and 3-4? Try reducing by 3-5% but don't exceed 10%.

Ill get there soon. I now feel comfortable adding some more goodies to the truck now that the valve body is done. I have a new fuel pump, injectors, and I'll grab a pulley from Sniv and reach out to him for a tune. Right now I'm stuck with my locked tune from OTT and can't make any adjustments. The tune I have is great but I hate not having the ability to change anything. It's hard to argue with that 4.5 second 0-60 with a stock pulley so that's why I haven't tried to make any revisions. I am by no means a great tuner but I have been using HPTuners on my camaro for years. Really looking forward to making changes to the truck.

So I completely missed the boat on the group buy - did’t even see it come up. But when I reached out to WAT, they recommended the Extreme valve body for both my SC’d ‘13 and my bone stock ‘15 sequoia family truckster. I thought that a bit odd since the sequoia hauls kids around 90% of the time, but pulls our camp trailer a few times a year.

WAT also told me to get in touch with Cruisers, which I assume is where you all got the VB’s from..? I’m also curious to know if the extreme VB is standard fare for the SC crowd, or if some have gone with the nomad.

Johnny at Cruisers or Jesse at Turbokits.com

Jesse is an official vendor since during the GB, though I don't know what insight he has as part of that. Might be a little easier to get updates/tracking/etc. given his track record. That said, Johnny put together the group buy and is THE north america WAT distributor. I believe everyone here purchased the Extreme and Jesse purchased the Nomad to compare against my truck (and because Johnny had one of the Nomad's in stock). So we'll have some sampling and Dragy comparisons between the two upgrades, though I suspect the biggest delta is in the driving experience since the Nomad supposedly doesn't have the stop/go traffic hard shifting issues.

OTT can adjust the tables to firm shifts up. I'm sure you have their upgraded tune for downshifts. I was looking over the VFtuner stuff but think it was brought up by slownstock for getting same results via HPT. As stated by both SNS and OTT we don't want to push it as it can shorten the life and cause issues.

It's just reducing the torque when a shift is requested. Can be accomplished through HPTuners and VFT tuning by OTT. Same can be had by having timing pulled. Do it too much and it'll be uncomfortable in stop and go traffic.

Can also second that OTT will not tune header/modified cats and I understand. It’s a little funny as I asked a few local guys in the network and they were all good until that came up then it was a hard no OR put stock back on. Makes sense with the lawsuits against diesel places and similar. Of course mine is offroad use only!!!

Yes. EPA was coming down on them so most didn't want to face fines or lose their licenses.
