Recommend getting an AFR gauge too if you are still getting this installed. Don't know if that was suggested.

If it is an older vehicle you'll want to do a preflight check before install AKA compression test and test fuel system.

PCV side only. Get yourself an AFR gauge too. If something starts to go wrong it will aid in troubleshooting.

Headers and exhaust will drop boost some but how much depends varies about ~1PSI. A larger blower also helps keep the boost down.

Saw 2 psi drop in my setup recently. What would be typical next steps would be to double down on the pulley size to regain the boost loss but we’ll leave that to the built motor for moaarr powwwaa. Not that it really needs it

With the 3 inch exhaust, headers, no cats keeps the psi down.
With a 6.75 or .71 crank pulley and 2.0 SC pulley I'm trying to keep it low. But the little 1900 does sing. Just gotta keep it all together. :D

Yes! Less boost more power super efficient is the key.

Shame I didn't have my boost gauge before headers. Probably wouldn't have mattered since I still had the stock muffler on lol.

No worries and wasn't implying any type of tunobery. And yes there are certain criteria that would definitely have my ride be rejected...:p

Finally got my relay box installed. Tried to copy @armyoffoo original setup as best I could. It did clean up the rats nest of wires and relays stacked on the fender/firewall. I still have some more to do... Thanks for the info!

Yes, it was the kill switch. Internal open in the switch intermittently..
I replaced the switch with a better one and all issues have been fixed. Had nothing to do with the SC system or Tune...It was all on me...It just didn't do it when I was N/A....coinkidink.

Anyone replacing a Level10 or IPT valve body with a WAT for a comparison? It would be interesting as they all use the same Transgo/Sonnax kits.
See if one stands out as a clear winner. I liked hearing the WAT VB held up for a year on a 1000hp build with stock AB60 using DEX3.

Second time I seeing reference to the 1000hp data point. Did I miss a link or a video? That's way better than the 600/650whp I'm tracking.

Subscribed to this specific topic, though. Also curious since we're kind of blind to the secret sauce of the WATs (as I'm tracking, anyways). I'm most curious if there's a clear winner in road manners.

Hahaha damn Sniv! I know, I know...I want to get this installed quickly, like in a couple weeks so I don't forget to send the core back! Than I'll have the pulley and injectors installed shortly after that...this summer I want to drive it with It and I both smiling! And yes, tuning optimizations will be needed...

@bflooks. In Dubai on a turbo setup, a stock AB60, Extreme VB running Dex3 was able to withstand 1000hp. The guys at WAT were happy that it took a year to finally fail. Apparently they didn't think it would last that long. So the story goes...when I was chatting with Johnny at Cruisers and Co.

But did it sit in a garage for 11 months and then they decided to take it out for one pull?

That’s pretty cool though. I wonder if the rest of the trans was fresh or already beaten on when they installed the VB?

I believe WAT sent the fresh trans and VB to Dubai and it was ran hard all year.

To completely derail the convo, yall seen the dune racers and crazy off road stuff they do over in Dubai? It’s awesome. Lots of them have money but even the ones that don’t have some awesome rides.

I just bought the Alcon brake kit and now you say this too?!? :spending:

I'll need to rewatch the PS Turbo Tundra vid again and ask them what they were running for the VB since they thrashed the 1000HP rated transmission twice and ended up doing a transmission swap. I think they said the reinforced transmission wouldn't hold 650. Meanwhile Viktor G was drag racing his truck on a stock transmission with a VB and pushed beyond that threshold.
Sounds like VB is the key

This thing better be able to do a 12.5 1/4 mile after these gears and valve body.

I wonder if they use a plate between the upper and lower valve body that resists wear better than OEM. As we know the VB passages wear out and don't hold pressure causing failures.
