I haven't seen it as a stand alone either, but he claimed he thought you could buy it stand alone. I saw his stand that came with it a week ago and wanted one also. Honestly for how cheap the HF stand is that comes with it, it's almost worth it to just buy an entirely new stand. It has screw down feet with pads to stop the stand moving around too, for $300 it looks really nice. But if you find a way to retrofit a normal stand with the fancy rotator please post it so I can buy one too :D

To Mr. @Jowett - thank you unlimited times for being the man! I'm beyond grateful for the gesture and I wanted to ensure you get the appropriate shout out and kudos sent your way. If there is anything you ever need that I can help with, don't ever hesitate to ask. Good people deserve good things, and I wish it all for you.

Background: Y'all know my motor issue. Brian pinged me sidebar and told me he thought he might have a core that I could use, but he needed to find/inspect it. Dude went digging the very next day and sent photos asking if I thought it could work. He's conveniently local at only about 2 hours away and was my #1 choice (who stumbles into a local option ready for shipping?). Despite going a different route, I wanted to give @Jowett the recognition he deserves since he stepped right up and tried to help in a huge way when another member was in a pretty bad spot. Thank you!

A little off topic but kinda relates. Got my question answered about how the seibon carbon vented hood would do in the snow, yes the snow gets in the vents lol. Had a little pile on the air box, on the box for my switch panel on top of the fuse box, and on top of the battery. Nothing bad, just took the leaf blower to it and it all blew away. Center of the engine bay was clean, no snow on the supercharger. Never really thought I'd get an in person answer for the snow being in southeast TX.

I have an idea to make a cover and insert some nutserts etc the underside but need to see it in person to double check how to mount it.

I don't want to talk about gold anymore. I just submitted payment to XAT. I'm going to need a bucket to catch all of these tears.

Badass! We need more details on what you went with for options etc. Compression, ported heads etc. I was just on their site this morning pricing things out lol

Honestly, no options aside from the BC spring & retainers and the BC valves. The rest is their base build which is (from what I can tell) most of what @Fastlane47 had built early last year (https://www.tundras.com/threads/a-b...ow-it-sounds-crazy.82930/page-12#post-3497112):

(edit: after rereading the pages leading up to the above link, with the valves, it may be the same build as his)

Base build includes fully assembled engine, ready to drop in:

    • BC ARP2000 rods
    • Manley pistons, 10.0:1 compression ratio
    • Full OEM new engine gasket kit
    • All new timing parts (chain, guides, tensioners, etc.)
    • ACL rod/main bearings, OEM thrust washer
    • Block honing with torque plate
    • Hot tanked engine
    • XAT modified high performance oil pump
    • Ported intake/exhaust ports
    • Valve job
    • ARP head studs
    • ARP main studs
    • Heads bolted to block, timing set
    • New valve stem seals
Worth noting, as of today (could change in the future) from XAT: "I do recommend the side skirt coating, but the Manley pistons included in the build already have them fortunately."

Are these builds more boost friendly so you don't have to run them so rich?

Specifically asked them about that, and when I mentioned 10s, they gasped and stated they would expect 11.5 while in boost. That said, they're also fully aware of the fact I'm boosted and I suspect they build accordingly. They suggested I'll be needing a transmission long before I find the limits of the what the motor will handle, so I'll probably be capping myself at 10'ish psi until the wife forgets about this particular purchase. :)
