Shipping it back to investigate. I would assume another R&R. Test valve body and solenoids? Replace them all again? Replace TC again?

Either slu isn't seeing the line pressure, valve body or torque converter like you said. It's a super sucky code. Im thinking it could be torque converter? But they will figure it out.

 

Weren’t you looking for a gx460 SC kit @snivilous? Might have been @mass-hole too, I forget.

 

Yeah I'm sure they will get it sorted. Not too worried that I'll be SOL, considering the shop seems to do whatever it takes. Not ideal to have to be the one that has all the issues lol but it'll get sorted one way or another.

This will be the 3rd VB, 3rd TC, and 3rd set of solenoids, if they replace all. I'm guessing they test SLU or replace. And possibly replace TC just to be sure. Leaving the VB alone? Who knows. Haven't scheduled the driver yet but should be 1/13.

 

What's general consensus on a radiator replacement? Any worthwhile upgrades or go OEM? Mine has a hole and is leaking Quick search in here gave me a million mentions of the word Radiator but curious if there's any more recent info.

I see if you order from a Toyota dealership you get an MVP part. I've ordered the Denso replacement part instead. Hopefully it gets here quick.

 

I needed a radiator for a road trip and ordered a Mishimoto. It was not going to arrive in time so I got a Denso from Rock Auto it was ok the Mishimoto temps are lower.

 

I went over to the Boosted Tundras group on Facebook and started reading and found horror stories from all the brands so figured to just go Denso for now. Maybe change down the road when I finally build the motor and all that.

 

Looks like the AnroT / VT supercharger kits.


I remember running across them when I was looking at purchasing.

 

No issues with my CSF radiator, had it for over 4 years now.

Yea they’re the Chinese kits. Seems to be popular for the Mazda guys.

the red one is a twin screw and the black one uses a HKS centrifugal charger, the black body is just used as a intake manifold.

 

I wanted to adapt a 5.7 blower, but the real issue is lack of tuning for the 2019+ GX

Unfortunately, I don't think we will stand much of a chance against a tuned one. Imagine when custom tuning and some bolt on parts are available instead of just the JB4???
