Thanks! Downloaded, finally. 4-12 pages of science later on whatever topic I initially looked into and I forget to download everything. I wish my brain worked just the tiniest bit like his does so I could pretend I understood any of the math logic.

But it gives you an idea what can be done and how it all relates to your performance.

Tow truck driver is en route to level10 to grab my truck so the driver can leave first thing in the morning. This transmission better be worth every doll hair

Level10/IPT/Wholesale transmission make some $ with the shift kits/ built VB's. It's not hard but looks daunting especially reaming/enlarging passages. Our VB's leak over time and with those fine clutch particles just makes it worse. I ran Chris's shift kit(with the aluminum accumulators and limiting rods. I swear that saved my trans by elimnating clutch slip for the past 8 years until I put the built VB in. You had good foresight to build up the VB to extend its life.

Is that who came up with that kit, Chris. Yeah I ran that kit for sometime, then I sold the truck and reinstalled the stock springs. Would be nice to get heavier springs to go along with the stuff I did. The reaming part looks simple enough but you need a $200 jig to hold the VB straight and do the install. Maybe Level10 will sell those springs to me. Worth a shot. We shall see what snivolus comes up with his testing on TQ management. I know back in the 4L60E days, TQ management was always turned off from what I recall.

I can reach out to John and see if he'll sell some. I did re-use those aluminum accumulators with the new built VB.

That's what I always think of too. Seems like all the LS tuning stuff touches on removing torque management but all this tundra tuning talks about increasing it and I'm like wait what lol. What's the difference or are they just different strategies?

You may be confusing the 2. The optimal trans torque is a value that is for shifting at different throttle and torque commands. Increasing optimal torque firms up and makes them faster while decreasing softens them up. Increasing too much can damage the trans.
The logic of the ecu calculates the timing, TPS, afr, and airflow to produce engine torque.
We can remove the torque limits as per top speed etc.

Whatever this forum told me to do
    nonsense post, however, semi on-topic
and a data point on the condition of the "normal guys" mindset.

yesterday, we had a emergency drill here at the warehouse.

I was the muster manager at one of our muster points.

well...I had to drive over there
when I got there, one of the guys asked if this really had a S/C in it.

then, it turned into a bunch of guys looking at a motor.

    Life is good.

Funny, we stood around looking at my truck too. Except we weren't admiring, we were trying to figure out why it rides like absolute shit since installing solid motor mounts

    Too many mods to come
Less movement more nvh in the cab. I felt the opposite, felt it tied the front end together much better.

I'd be fine with that but mine is doing the exact opposite. Every little bump unsettles the whole truck. Not sure how engine mounts could do that but I didnt change anything else. It's very strange

Well I have some newly paved roads around me. Yes, they actually used our gas tax money for road improvements... I'll see how the solid mounts behave once I get them on. Hopefully by next week.

Maybe the worn mounts were masking how bad a shape the shocks are? One part better amplifies how shit something else is :D

It is what it is! Very happy. Probably cost them another 7-8k for the 2nd go around. Saw the shipping cost and it's 996 each way for transport.

Haven't had a chance to lay into it yet cause it's raining here today but no issues whatsoever. shifts nice. quick but smooth. THIS is what I was expecting from the beginning.

Either way, happy they stood behind their work.

FWIW - I'm leaving my trans table alone. Shifts too nice to mess with it. It's still at the same values as previously sent. 1.5x in beginning with the 0.1 increase in each column to get to 1.9x around 25% TPS....through the end of the table.

Yeah they did. Replaced it again during this latest iteration. They have their own springs they use. And I'm not sure exactly what they do, but they do something to the oem toyota solenoids when they replace them.
