This was last year when I just bought the Powertrax off eBay. They said to ship them the LSD and they would provide all the gears and install parts, and do the work no issue. They will charge for the cores and freight ship both diffs to me (commercial address will be cheaper to ship to). Then you have 30 days to swap the diffs and ship back their cores, using their shipping account. The return shipping costs will be deducted from the core refund.

But to actually answer your question, no I didn’t ship them anything and have abandoned the idea of doing the swap DIY due to no spare time. Taking a day or 2 off work is a deal breaker right now. I’m going to find a local shop to do all the work and just pay.

 

Two rusted out when removing so they’re able to test drive with two bolts in, instead of four. He’s got four on order to replace them all.

So is soeedmaster better than powertrax? Is that the consensus. This pricing is hard to pass up

 

I setup an account to get a military discount a few weeks ago. Customer service told me to wait for the Black Friday promo! Not sure if the no tax is for the military or if it applies to all.

 

Back from 2022, people were having issues with Power Trax and the shaft fitting. Also the SM has 6 gears instead of 3 like the PT. I am googling as I type to see which one is better. But I think both are good products from the looks of it.

 

I researched them and honestly you can't go wrong with either one.
Speedmaster is preloaded and has 6 pinion gears instead of the 3. Made a few posts earlier and in the 5.29 gear thread too.

 

But which one?! Seems like the deal is hard to pass up. Damn this forum

I believe @reywcms said his dad's rig has one or hes picking one up too. But that's been under the knife for awhile. Sales person stated they do sell but not as well as other makes.

The early versions were tight tolerances some installers didn't feel comfortable "getting" them to fit...

You bastards. I don’t even need or want one and I want one for that price. Makes me want to buy a used diff and get it set up with the new gears to minimize downtime. Sell my brother my 3rd with the powertrax installed…

 

This cant be good, look at this current article. Anyways I cant find anything about them. They are an Australian company and apparently a company DYIyourself owns then which apparently does have good reviews. I want to jump on that price but I like to know what I am buying and there is nothing out there. Still looking though. Not to mention hardly nobody sells them.
