I'm just a few years behind. Wanted to do this way back when Viktor and you did it. Better late than never.

    Many on the way.
Excellent! It’s a whole new world w/ AWD. Turn off ALL the nanny BS and have some serious fun… it’s almost comical how far up the ladder this takes the truck.

My 200 Series t case should be inbound from Japan any day now.

    Harrop 2650, 37” tires,
I was back visiting family in Kansas a couple months ago- first time I've been near 1,000ft elevation and thought to go WOT from a stop with a slight boosted launch on a cool 70*ish morning. It felt like I was gonna snap my driver side cv on what I think was the 2-3 shift. I was making a slight left turn merging into the highway so thats why it spun. Still on stock gears, but I bet it would light up all 4 37" tires pretty hard if I did more of a boosted launch. Seems like it holds the rpms higher from the launch thru all the gears. Or I am just not used to driving at anything besides 5k-10k feet elevation. Chirping all 4 tires thru multiple gears is wild. Can't imagine what the 77.5mm would be like. Y'all are nuts and I like it.

I see RCV CV axle upgrades in the future at some point. Anyone else have concerns for CV's doing 4wd boosted launches with stock axles?

You get a doubling effect with elevation in regards to power. Your "base horsepower" increases plus the amount of boost also increases, so it rapidly jumps in power. This is why I advocate so much for high elevation people to run the smallest pulley possible. At 10k feet your truck probably isn't even making the power that a naturally aspirated truck at sea level does.

RCV or at least, keep buying the OEM...they're superior to the aftermarket versions...RCV rebuilds OEM and not Napa specials...RCVs are good, but not "stronger."

I don't see anything on their website listing that? I've never even heard of RCV reusing stock hardware but I don't look at all their applications.

The boot they use is notorious for not being able to stay on. I had that issue on my WK i put RCV's on. People also report that they get loud over time.

True, my experience with them has been with 4th gen 4runners....When chatting with them about getting a discount for my cores, they stated they only accept OEM Toyota axles and nothing else. Perhaps I made an assumption but if you call them they could provide a better statement than I...I'm 100% not crapping on them...just sharing what I was shared when chatting with them...

Sorry. Meant for the Tundra. Thought I read a stronger porches boot fits our cv's.

Yup! I have a habit of that. It was an Overland HEMI. Mods got out of hand...traded in for 2016 Tacoma when they came out, then to a s/c 2014, then the Tundra, and now the GX. Lessons never learned lol

RCV joints wear fast, especially in an AWD/application where they are driven 100% of the time. They are not long term daily driver friendly.

That's why the Sequoia transfer upgrade is so nice. You still maintain 2wd high, plus AWD, 4wd locked, and 4wd low.

I would have gone for the Sequoia t case this time around, but need to swap another 200 Series t case to figure out some differences between model years and part numbers.

RCV def is not utilizing stock parts on the tundra platform at least. We run them on the old mans tundra. Boot wise there's a few options one linked above, sdhq also has a setup. I run an oem boot with 300m LT axles on stock inner/outers.

That’s both impressive and bewildering. The worst I’ve ever got was 7mpg towing a 32’ long 11’ tall box of a trailer that weighs 7500 lbs. How do you manage to get such mileage?

No idea, high heat (not been under 105 until yesterday since April) short trips, all city, lead foot? I actually rounded up...

I drove the BMW for the first time in months yesterday (was finally "only" 80)

    Almost got 9lbs!

Lol no but I literally drive it under 200 miles a month & it uses close to the tank. I do enjoy every mile though.

    *EDIT*

I'm in 4HI 99% of the time too.

    *EDIT II*

AC on low with full fan always
