If you got the 1900 you can hang it off the side of the blower just relocate the purge. But wherever is room for this stuff...

Well, I said I would check my Radium CC after my trip. It's been 2300 miles and it has oil in it. Looks like it has a tad bit more oil than my JL CC caught after 5k. Needless to say, all that fancy crap they put in it was a waste of money, time, research, etc. and not needed.

Still tuning for downpipes here. Air fuel is almost dead nuts across MAF/PE but still fumbling above 4.53 WOT. Noticed when tune is fresh she is extremely rich 8/9 at wot for first few pulls. Once KCL learns then it leans out at it seems. I'm assuming that is how I blew a cat. Probably dumping fuel and then it ignited. At least for me it's been deceiving, tune MAF, rich as shit, then KCL adjust and correct a/f. Just sharing my experience since I've thrown misfire codes, blew up a cat.

Any concerns with the spacers being made out of Delrin? Temperature rating up to 250F. I have no plans to cook a motor. Also, any concerns with a blower putting more leverage on Delrin spacers and getting some movement out of them? How much heat do you suppose the blower creates as opposed to being heat soaked by the motor. I see they will make them out of aluminum, as well. I’m speaking mostly out of my hind quarters and asking out of curiosity without really know much about them.

Of course it’s cheaper, too! One of their prototypes is finally on my truck… been sitting in my barn since 2017. I’ll write a thread on my thoughts soon.

    I have this question too.

Why can't the OEM gasket be used?

I'd imagine if boosted, we'd need the aluminum versions... but that's purely an assumption... as far as the plenum spacer is concerned...

I also would think delrin may not hold up long term to the heat, pressure, and greater torque applied to it from use with a supercharger. It would provide a better thermal barrier though. I don’t know much about the material though, so just more speculating. Gonna need a guinea pig.

Obviously, we need a sandwich. Delrin, Aluminum, Delirn.

    lol

Also, don't these kinds of torque raising mods lose HP? (I like torque so it most likely is moot for me but I'd like to know)

About the only thing that I can add about the Delrin is that it's pretty tough, such that it needs to be machined. How it tolerates heat cycles, I don't have a clue.

Kind of like a reverse Oreo.
I'm not even sure what the potential differences it would make with a S/C would be; data needed.

I think it’s really all about the heat soak thermal barrier with the SC more so than any other potential benefits.

PML chose not to design or machine the flange to accept the stock grooved rubber gasket. They supply a a cork gasket. Mine went in the trash. Bad memories of attempting to seal things with cork and Indian Head.
    081F3D66-2E30-45ED-8FE9-A4C8C1828CC3.jpg

Form in place gasket all day long here. While it certainly makes servicing the pan less convenient, it has a possible, and, if true, not insignificant benefit. Stiffening up the main transmission case. The flange is wide and .44” thick, not to mention the entire pan is straight beef at over 11 lbs. Bolting and essentially gluing to the case, thus becoming part of the structure along the entire perimeter.

There are other benefits that this pan hold, with a little machine work. Should probably give it a thread.

The only reason I'd go with aluminum is to add injection ports for extra injectors, methanol or NOS for individual cylinders. . Of course after doing that built forged engine...ha

Only one con I can see is that you need more transmission fluid . I have the B&M pan under WOT my temps don’t cross 229 and this is without a cooler. Either pan is definitely worth it. Temps drop significantly at cruising speeds fyi , the bigger pans make a huge difference in heat transfer with double the capacity.

    Many on the way.
The B&M looks a bit “tidier”.
Comes with a massive magnet, but no inspecting/cleaning w/o pan R&R
Uses the stock gasket, which is much nicer if the pan needs to be R&R’d.

    PML has baffles.
Might(?) be structurally stiffer/stronger when installed with FPG and some larger M8 bolts or studs.
    Small magnet on drain plug.

    Mods for PML

With mods to the overflow drain hole, a Fumoto or EZ Drain can be added. This allows an easier filling procedure as the overflow can simply be turned on/off with the lever when temp is reached. The B&M over flow is positioned where installing a valve is not possible. The valve will also allow easy sampling of ATF fluid to check condition. Slowly slide the lever and grab a couple drops, a teaspoon, or fill a sample bottle to send off for UOA, then close it up… no fiddling with a drain plug.

There are three bungs on the pan, only one is machined for the drain valve. The other two could be drilled tapped for some large magnet plugs. All magnets can be removed and easily be inspected for debris, or cleaned during fluid service. Three of these should do it.

Lowering the pick up tube inside the pan is also something we should look at. Neither pan offers this.

    Too many mods to come

Looks good! May redo my radium setup when I pull the blower next month. Modded it and need to see if we're gathering more crap than before.
