Factory crank at 1388hp is awesome. I was halfway hoping my engine had yeeted itself so I had an excuse to build it, but then it turned out to just be an onion so I guess I'll stay in the 500-600hp range :ballchain:

Not sure, probably going to shoot them an email and figure out what to budget when time comes, I want reliability and octane 91, and see what's possible with that.

I didn't get a chance to redo the dyno but the ol girl is feeling great.

It's been a little finicky getting the ethanol learning perfect with 1000cc injectors (they were probably overkill.. That large causes greater fluctuations in trims) but I've got it dialed in pretty tight now.

I love the e85. I just wish I had the Midwest Ethanol pricing! Lol

S FL is damn near 93 cost for e85.

For those of you wanting ethanol-like benefits without the tuning and hardware, or can't access e85... Look into water methanol injection.

On 93 with WMI (500 cc nozzle on at 4psi) I saw nearly the same hp gains as e85.

That was 50/50 water/meth and at 11.5 AFR prior to spray (roughly 10.5 AFR spraying).

Single nozzle after MAF and before throttle body.

He was on Toyota transmission for a while, now it's a built 4l something I think, I wonder what's the limit with our transmission, I'd be happy as pig in poop if can have the truck drive the way is now and hit 10s lol.

I think on the 1400HP vid he has a GM trans swapped in and a sleeved block. This guy is spinning his wheels on rolling pulls going 100MPH.

I know on the TT forums the guy running a turbocharged build fused his transmission at some point. I'll have to go back to see what point he did so but I think it was well below 1000HP.
Edit: Looks like he fused it at around 1000WHP. The stock trans was a weak point for slow shifting on his road to sub 10s.

Oh I’d be willing to bet it’s going to be north of $20k for a built short block if you’re sending your truck to them. Plus, if you move to lower compression pistons you’re going to need tuning.

10k would be just labor alone. Their labor prices are crazy. I spoke to them about my install and it was in the 5-6k range.

Is that s/c install or an engine out build?

I figure by then I should budget 30k, built block, whatever accessories, motec, tune, etc.

If it makes the truck as fast or faster than a Rivian then I think it's money well spent, in the mean time, stage 1.75 it is.

I love my tundra and spend a lot of money on it…but that’s just stupid. I’d sooner buy myself a new camaro or whatever flavor muscle car one may be into. Hell even put that toward a used GTR or something. At least then there’s something with resale when you’re bored of it.

I don't disagree with anything you just said.

But, I'm still dying to do it. I'll keep my RCSB forever (most likely). And already have FAR too much money into it. There's no stopping now.

I look at my RCSB more as a "fun" kinda car rather than an only car. I'll get something else eventually for a daily but it definitely wont replace the truck.

Lol I respect your dedication to the platform if you’re gonna go all in! You spend that money however you see fit. I love seeing fast tundras as much as the next guy. I just know I have a desire for so many other cars I couldn’t resist but to own some other vehicles. Nothing is taking the place of my tundra either though, all future vehicles will be in addition to it. Even if I would need a bigger truck for hauling I don’t think I could sell it.

Did they say what's the expected performance?

Ahahahhaa, my man, this thread is all about encouraging even worse financial decisions when comes to our vehicles.

My desire to make poor financial decisions is STRONG. You guys are next level!
Probably only 5% of us tundra owners are financially brazen enough to spring for the supercharger let alone a fully built engine. More power to you fellas.

Initial look using Nat Speeds #s looks like Stage 2 and Stage 3 are fairly close for raw $/HP and start to spread for $/HP Gain over previous Stage (Stage n vs Stage n-1).

Stage 1 vs Stage X the HP gained gets more expensive as you go up the Stages but Stage 2 and Stage 3 are fairly close again with Stage 2 having a lead.

The e85 capable Stage 4 is expensive but not too far off $/HP if you were going from stock to Stage 1 vs stock to Stage 4. It bring other benefits that may not be captured by HP gained vs $$$. Also disappointed it doesn't deliver +286HP over stock for a total of 667HP. Missed marketing opportunity for "Neighbor of the beast" Package

For those that want to play with the #s I didn't run any numbers for total HP gained.

    Code:
Stage HP Low HP High $
    1 160 180 10099
    2 200 220 11799
    3 230 250 13599
