Lots of aftermarket support, cheaper alternatives, and my favorite is this allows for different transfer cases and front differential options for AWD goodness!!!

I was just thinking of your transmission when the t56 got brought up. Decent used prices $1500 to $3500 on summit.

I would think they'd need to run full aftermarket ECU to make that happen.

You're not trying to control another transmission, so an aftermarket ECU shouldn't be needed. You would have to tune out any CEL or Limp Mode that might be set by not seeing the transmission? Not sure?

You would need the XAT adapter, transmission (and transfer case if 4x4/AWD), clutch, driveshaft(s), clutch pedal and reservoir, shifter? They offer the pilot bearing, TOB and hydraulic hoses as options to the kit.

Well ladies and gents add another TRX to the kill list. Went to run some errands in Mexico and went to merge on the freeway and see a TRX with full digital camo wrap coming up behind me. Traffic was packed so cruised a bit and I slide over to the middle lane and of course he pulls up next to me and gives me the hop rev. So I drop to 2nd and he hits then I do and immediately close the gap from the hit and begin to walk away until we hit traffic. The look on their faces as I go by was classic. Not bad for the big girl

Whatever this forum told me to do
this jives with my recent oil comparison on my truck. (0w-20 vs. 5w-30)

the analysis showed 5w-30 had remarkably* lower wear metals.

I was going to throw a disparaging remark about the 3rd gens in here like - would 15w-50 have helped the 3rd gens? but I'm a gentleman, and refused to do so.

*I only use the word "remarkably" because, well, Blackstone remarked as such.

About 6k...that may include the core charge. I can share more when I know more. I'm going to have to have someone else do the r&r as well, I just don't have the time/equipment. A local trusted shop told me book time was 11 hours.

Well, I guess that didn't last long. It's now private. It was showing via oil analysis what happens to engine oil when boost is added. Basically, a lowering of oil viscosity an increase in fuel, water, and wear materials suggesting that an increase in the viscosity of the oil that is use might be warranted. It's a bit more complicated due to things like boost level and engine use case, but basically.

Here is the approximate difference, can't it be tapped to accept the larger fitting?

The inlet/outlet on that is way too small to handle the flow necessary to cool off your charge...

The holes are too close to the side to do a bulkhead fitting, TIG welding a new fitting on would be the only option. The material is likely too thin to tap reliably.

The intercooler tank doesn't need to be under pressure? Thought they were to help with cooling.

The pump will be restricted by the feed from the tank and the pressure side will be much higher since the tank will also be a restriction on the flow coming from the bricks. That will reduce flow, cause IATs to rise, and wear out your pump faster. What most people do is increase the size of the pump, and then increase the size of the lines to 1" or larger.
