They actually have a lot of good shit on their website. This dude was asking what upgrades to make more power, and I went to send him the link for their bolt in FPR and realized essentially everything I would tell someone to buy (injectors, pump, FPR, MAF) they offer it all.

Clarify the reason behind needing a new MAF, if you wouldn’t mind. The OE MAF is setup to read X amount of flow and produce a voltage of Y volts. The software interprets Y volts as Z CFM\LbsPerHour (not sure on the units) of air and calculates how much fuel you need to dump in to the motor.

The SC is flowing more air than the MAF can read before reaching its peak voltage, so most kits come with an larger intake diameter. The air flows more slowly through the larger intake so the MAF doesn’t max out as soon, but on the software side of things, you have to rescale the MAF table to let the computer know that X amount of low producing Y amount of volts now equals Z *n lbs of air. Correct?

With the new Turbokits MAF, the rescaling you were originally doing the software is basically rescaled in the hardware? Does that mean the new MAF is less ‘sensitivie’ or provides less resolution? Or because (and I’m making an assumption here) the MAF isn’t quite linear, it provides better resolution because you aren’t in the extreme end of the MAF voltage with higher airflow?

Doesn’t the new MAF accomplish the same thing as increasing the intake size? Or is it just easier (and cheaper compared to the Maggie intake) to install a new MAF instead of increasing the intake size?

I’m genuinely curious and thought I understood, but I’m sure there’s something I’m missing.

You are on the money with everything you said. Increasing the tube size and going to the new MAF result in the exact same outcome. The reason to go with the MAF instead of an intake is for the simplicity aspect as far as I'm concerned. In this case the guy has a fancy UMP intake that trophy trucks and prerunners use, so needs fabrication to increase the tube size. That's the same case with some other people I know who have got the Turbokits MAF, they have a 4.5" intake but there's no 5" options readily on the market so the only practical option is the MAF. The flip side is someone like @reywcms where I built him a 5" intake, but he was going to a huge throttle body and changing a bunch of stuff so for him it made more sense to get a 5" tube made for his final goals, even though the 5" tube (just the tube, not the rest of the intake) from me cost more than just the MAF.

And since the outcome is the same, they both require rescaling. So the tuning is essentially the same, it's purely how you want to go about the hardware side of things to get the voltage back in range.

Just a side note when installing the @TurboKits.com fpr and it is too close to the maggy 2650 body. It needs a -6 orb to -6 orb 45 degree or 90 degree fitting to clear the 2650 side by the return. May need a bracket mod to support weight vibration?

I have nothing to contribute that hasn't already been discussed, except that I am beyond happy that our worlds are blending nicely and that I'm glad there's plenty of opportunity to share the same products in all of our installs.

For obvious reasons, I'm a @TurboKits.com fan boy, but it's nice seeing other FI implementations recognize the amount of work they've put into the platform and the quality of their product offerings. They carry different risks than most of us since they are for profit, and I'm thrilled to see the recognition that their R&D is for the better of the community. Love seeing them get kudos, and I appreciate everyone for having open minds.

    Thanks for listening. Rock on!

I ordered the dongle and software off Amazon. The software comes on a mini disc so you need a cd reader. It's a cracked version but they give you instructions on how to use it. Worked for me. The only thing you can't do is connect to techstream servers for any software updates.

I think I still have the files downloaded on my laptop too

Seems the guy showed a rcf picture but part is for lx570. And the cooler was just a 4 row. What a joke.
Hmm. Back to drawing board. No cheap option unless that gx460 works. Is it just enlarging the diameter of the ports?

Our issue was purely when we went from the MPVI2 to the MPVI3, we had to move the license.dat file out of the HPT folder in order for it to connect and synch the new MPVI3. Once we did that it and the MPVI2 with all the other VINs coded to it, work fine from the same laptop.

Love it! We'll keep them flowing as fast as possible. We did get our shipment in, the site hasn't been updated, but the ones just ordered over the weekend will go right out :)

And we are very happy to help the community.

    :bananadance:

Yes, our high flow MAF stops the requirement to move to a larger MAF tube for higher flowing set ups. So you guys are spot on!

Thanks Bri, we are also very happy to be working with you on this testing. You have been awesome to work with, excited, not afraid to be hands on and getting tons of great data for the community :)

Thanks bro!! Glad we could help!

It's @Wynnded who needs to have the fpr move away from the body of the 2650. I figured you would have access to to a range of fittings. A 45 deg fitting or 90 deg. Even using the fuel rail adapter with a -6an fitting to a 90deg -6 orb. Just some ideas?

Yup! Part of using the cracked version is disconnecting from the internet so the software can't connect to Techstream servers, and then running a second program that, sort of injects fake credentials so Techstream program starts up. I don't think it works on newer OS like Windows 11

@snivilous the 2.0 pulley is a freight train! Right on the +2psi. I did touch 14.2 but that was at max...

I've started logging Air Load since absolute load seems to go insane and I can't find an obvious answer to how it's calculated. But the MAF maxed at 512 is like 160% air load which coincides with what the TRD tune sets the load values on the Y axis to. And with some fudging 512 divided by the stock MAF flow value ends up at 160% too.

With that said, absolute and air load mostly parallel each other until you really get high in the throttle and then absolute load runs away and diverges from the MAF based air load calculation.
