Those things are no joke, but glad it was just the edge of a finger. My wife shaved her knuckles on one and that was the last time we had on in the house. Even with the handle/tool, they're terrifying.

 

I've done that grating cheese. I now have one of those crank things like they do at Olive Garden.

Pulled the ECU connector, verified no bent pins, sprayed electronic cleaner (again) on both sides, plugged it back in.

Oddly it did not want to stay running, finally it did, no codes. Drives great.

Sent a log to snivilous.

 

You can buy Milwaukee Level 1,2,3 cut resistant gloves at Home Depot.

Almost like changing plugs a coil and getting misfires then like magic it's runs.

Seriously good news for FFV. Do the fuel line delete, fuel vsv relay mod and ecu swap to be rid of alcohol poisoning!

 

The ecu was the last piece. Hopefully no more of that nonsense!

Idk I found those on Amazon. I wouldn't wear them gloves nor use that gripper thing probably shave my knuckles off if I used a mandoline

 

I know there are cut resistant gloves but too late for me. I did pick up a pair for fileting and cutting. Haha

What injectors did you go with?

 

I lucked into exactly what I needed on eBay.

I don't think it was dirty, just that it wanted me to pull it out on the first 100 degree day of the year.

 

I would argue that it was, in fact, (fighting) dirty then.

Once everything settles out and you put it through the paces you could put together a FFV conversion thread.
The running lean thread I tried to put some of firemandans' mod together as the fuel switching valve/fuel line was done but not the vsv part (for supercharged) for high pressure mode.
Picking the right ECU with the same model, options...etc.
Of course a disclaimer that sometimes a ECU may need extra help, being flashed to vehicle.
At least doing a FFV conversion is searchable on a few threads.
Although it may get a million handholding requests.

 

I finally got my gauges mounted and a little surprised by the boost...I'm hitting 9.6PSI on the 85mm pulley? I know the larger intake and throttle body add boost, but damn! My AFR is also very concerning, you can see the stock sensor value in this shot along with the AEM sensors...this live shot is at 9PSI.

 

What does the gauge read with key on, engine off? Sounds like a calibration issue.

 

The boost gauge? Reads 0.0 at key-on, shows -19-ish for vacuum idling. Also, the Fuel pressure is set at 58.5-59...I need to adjust, so it's showing 8+ PSI of boost-reference.
