Not sure. I found another video jumping 4&12 and now have the Xmas tree. Hopefully at 10:30 it will start

 

30 minutes nope, unregistered all but the master in TS, registered all (4 keys) nope.

Looking for a solution

 

You sure it's the immobilizer and not something else? Any codes?

 

This the process you tried?

 

I know @ViktorG stated they had it fired up.
I've always understood if the ECU was a different part # it needed to be re-flashed to the truck.
Also for pin 4 -13 does the driver door need to be open. Was told that once?

 

4-13 did not get me the xmas tree, 4-12 did. I'll try 4-13 again.

I only have the immobilizer error which comes right back.

Should I try this (minus the approvals)

What pattern is the security light blinking, if any? Does it go out when you put the key in the ignition?

*I'm assuming your sequoia is basically the same as a tundra

 

I didn't look at the security light and have an 18 Sequoia cluster that has a bunch of different indicators.

Pulled the battery for 20 minutes starts for a second.

4-13 are connected for 30 minutes.

That is where it is, 30 minutes are in about 18 minutes

 

So I have a OBD Link MX+ and this is what it pulled up. Thanks for the help.

 

Also, I take it that when I install the Magnuson tune, I can later revert back to the stock tune for custom tuning. Last SC I installed was on a 06 Silverado SS, a MP112. It came with a Diablo or Hypertech handheld that stored the OEM tune. This dongle tune is new to as far as tuning goes. My other vehicles where done with HP Tuners or EFI Live on a dyno.

 

Correct. HPT will download the stock file when you read the truck

 

Now it starts for more than a second, acts like it will run, dies & before it just cranked after that first try, it starts over & over like that.

I wrote the tune again, still won't stay running.

I'm going to take a break, watch hockey, been at this since 6am

 

I know it worked for some swapping ECU's and others it wouldn't. They needed it to be flashed.
Was it a ECU that was identical(exact options) to your old one minus the FFV?

Magnuson comes with a VF tuner. Will it download the stock files also? I will download the Magnuson tune to get it running till I choose a tuners for a custom tune.

 

the VF software has a library of stock files, you just find the one for your ECU calibration

 

The part number is 12-14 2& 4X4 SR5 Limited, Platinum with tow (I have a '13 Limited)

 

30CU3000 is the latest Calibration ID for your ECU.

 

Check that you are getting fuel pressure, if the key is not programmed, it shouldn’t start at all, not even for a second.

 

So I would have to update before I flash the Magnuson tune?

 

Yup, jumps to 60 pounds

No immobilizer code, startibility says low battery can cause it. I had it sitting on the 10amp charger for an hour just on the 2 pin jumps plus most likely another messing with it. It's barely at 12 volts on the charger.

I'm charging the battery.

New knock sensor codes never seen before.

 

The knock sensor codes won't stay cleared. Is there a non flex difference that causes them?

 

What voltage is the knock sensor seeing? More than 5vdc?
Harness wire?

 

No idea & I'm not inclined to pull the SC to find out. How can changing the ECU break sensors?

 

Got me. Wiring at ecu plug? Bad ECU? Are the afr's good? @ViktorG any insights?

 

you could disconnect the ecu plugs and make sure theyre clean and none of the little pins got bent
