I was wondering if I had a subpar supercharger compared to the rest. My build was with daily driving and road trips in mind. I didn’t want to be running E85 fuel either.
    thanks for the feedback

You can wake it up with a custom tune most use HPT. The canned tune from magnuson is not great to begin with.

You can approach 1000hp but you'll l need some $$ for your built forged engine and transmission upgrades. Fuel and brake system upgrades... etc. The guys in the middle east have been doing it for some time.

Go too much on a stock engine and you could punch some holes in it.

Open to being corrected on the point below. Not picking nits either.

Only point of concern is how 600WHP is measured. Some use hub dynos others use wheel/roller dynos. I think on anything other than E85 or race gas with 600WHP is a quick trip to grenade town; even on E85 I think it is close to pushing it.

Again I stand to be corrected just being considerate of current and future brothers in boost.

The limiting factor isn’t the blower on these trucks. My goal is 1khp and dialing it back. Built motor, bigger fuel system, more boost, built trans etc will all be needed and more I’m
    sure.

Pretty sure I stumbled onto the sweet spot at 537hp/574tq with belt slip before a bigger TB & better tune, bet I'm near 570/600 now.

I wish I met that guy before I threw 30K worth of upgrades into my truck to barely make a little over 800whp. Apparently all I needed was a “good tune”.

The horses were smaller where this guy was from, so he needed more of them to make up for it.

Anyone want to go in to get some 80mm pulleys by sniv made for the maggy 2650s? More people the cheaper it is.
I know everyone wants crazy power but id rather get a nice gain but stay reasonable for diff altitude traveling.
Im running snivs 76mm and im already pushing my limits even at 7k ft!

I don't recall who is doing your tuning, but couldn't you have them "soften" it up so you're not pushing those limits? Just pondering an alternative.

I heard SCOL was working on pulleys and that's the logical first step. Has anyone checked with them on ETA? If not, Sniv is your man!

I have snivs 76mm on already. Thinking id rather do an inbetween of stock pulley(86) and the 76.plus sniv can get them done usually faster than anyone ive seen

Just a update on my experience running Snivs 76mm pulley from 5400k elevation, Aurora CO down to 3000k elevation, Billing MT. Had to tweak the tune a few times, once in Sheridan WY and again in Billings. So readjustment to the MAF table for some more fuel and some timing pulled in base map for the increased air put truck back in line. Was thinking of swapping back to 86mm but tuning changes on 76mm was the easier option. Plus would have had to tune for the 86mm anyways to get it running how I'd like. So yes running smaller pulley at lower elevation requires either lite throttle, pulley swap to bigger or retune...... Everything we already know:D

How do you know you're pushing your limits with the 76mm? If I remember correctly you don't have a wideband and haven't done any datalogging, right?

I have done data logging and sent it to sniv to look at
I also picked up and installed a wideband. He said im running close to guys at sea level but not bad.
I had my fuel boost referenced and noticed a drop in mpg so I switched it back and in wot I was in the 11s.wjen I was referenced it was in the sweet spot of 10.5s.

My guess yes. Carn and I both got the 76 and hes down at sea level and was maxing his out easy.
Im close but still good. I just dont have the money to get bigger ones.

I just figure an 80mm pulley will bump me enough but keep me safe when I travel out of high elevation and without having to do any other upgrades.
Im not chasing HP lol but a little is nice but to keep it reliable enough without having to go through tunes, dynos and upgrades

You'll have to play the lite on the throttle mod until you can push some more fuel.

So as a general supercharger thread, has anyone installed the Harrop integrated 110mm throttle body inlet snout on their harrop S/C? I know there are cheaper options to go big on TBs but this could potentially save some space (just slightly hesitant to drop $3k on a whim)
