Yes sir, 0.131663 is stock truck IC per the injector control. My problem at this point is switching to MPVI-3 and having only the stock truck map. I could probably work off the 1900 TRD tune though but still have no idea of the ICH/ICI/ICIH, pulse width, offsets, corrections etc.... I simply need a new tune.

Start with like .08 for IC, the "high" values just set the same as the normal values. The inverse scales the same as the IC, so I would just multiply/divide by the same ratio to reach 0.08. The pulse width doesn't need changing. Offset you take from the sheet Prospeed gave you where it shows flow rates, it should list injector dead time which is the offset vs volts (make sure the volts are correct). All the other shit you could skip for right now to at least get it running. MAF values if you're using the Magnuson then pull the TRD tune from the HPT forum where I uploaded it or I can send it over and then copy the MAF values.

Weeeellllll, that might be a place to start, but @snivilous and I have noticed that that doesn't seem to apply to all vehicles. Mine turns out to be way different and Sniv commented that he was tuning one where the IC was unexpectedly higher than anticipated. @ARES35 has a little more going on because his truck is a FFV. I might hazard a guess that once one tunes the IC, the rest will fall into place via calculation. The Offsets he needs are listed on the paperwork that came with the injectors, toward the bottom. Direct plug-in for those. I don't think Corrections come into play on S/C'd tunes.

If you copy the TRD file, change the injector values, and maybe put the stock timing values back in (or just run the TRD timing) that will put you on a very good track. The TRD tune is the basis for a lot of what i do, like TRD transmission values slap pretty good as is. Just pull up the TRD in one window and your base tune in another, and just go through each table and copy and paste, then tweak those couples things, and you'll be off to a great start.

Understood. In the repository I do see a few of your guys S/C tunes. I see your Tundra stock TRD, and a few FFV S/C tunes. Would I be better off maybe starting with a base FFV?

I'm not aware of FFV TRD files but maybe I'm wrong. I would use mine just since I know it's a clean TRD file.

For all your FFV values set it to the same as the base value, is there are tables with alcohol amount, go into each alcohol value and set it to the same as everything else, so it shouldn't matter what the ethanol sensor calls out, it always commands the same. This doesn't entirely solve the ethanol issues, but at least there's no question in regards to what you do have control over. An example of that is the injector high constant, just set it as the normal IC so it doesn't matter.

There may not have been a TRD calibration for 2017, whatever year TRD stopped selling the S/Cs they stopped having a calibration. At one point, the entire S/C thing was "not for FFVs".

I understand. Have heard that the ethanol % content likes to increase incrementally is my reason for asking. Thank you!

@snivilous, is this the correct TRD calibration? I'm just not seeing the ICH/ICI/ICIH like my base FFV map?

Yes, you'll have to go through each table specifically and copy the values over since the FFV has more things like you're seeing.

That makes sense, I am seeing a multitude of ECM #'s, bottom with explanations with my FFV map. Must be because it's a 17 ECU vs 08 ECU. Sorry to be of a nuisance, just taking in the information until it clicks. This is similar to Cobbs Accesstuner race software but just layed out differently. I especially appreciate your time, @Wynnded and everyone else who's helped my simpleton ass:hattip:

Those are table/map definitions. You'll see them when you hover over a "button" even if you only had one calibration open in the software. Hey, we were all new to this at some point.

If they work, great. They may just serve as a starting point though, time will tell. If you choose to have Sniv remote tune your truck, he may become aware of some need to adjust them slightly. Hopefully they reduce/minimize the richness and misfires that you were seeing before.

Keep in mind those aren't end all be all values. Someone with a different intake or wanting to dump more fuel may need to modify those values. The injector constant is not a raw flow rate value, the same way that the MAF values are not a raw grams/second value---instead they are variables in an equation and the relationship to other values is what matters more so than the value itself. My truck right now has a IC of .073 or something, and they are the same injectors that Wynded and you have with a IC of .085, that's quite a bit of difference and both work fine. Use it as a starting point, but don't be married to that IC thinking it has to be that way because of the injector size.

And you have to start somewhere, so may as well use those, I completely agree. With any luck you'll never have to tweak the IC. But if you datalog the fuel trims and they're more or less off by 10%, then change the IC. Use the IC as your gross adjustments for fuel trim, and then use the MAF table to adjust individual cells a little here or there.

one of the reasons that made me return the prospeed injectors and pay the restocking fee. You'd think for the price, they could do a little better on the end product

Well having trouble writing the tune from VCM editor. I'm doing something wrong. Device re-synced with credits. Even the VCM information shows MPVI-3 with serial number and credits . Under the license tab in help though the RTD device with credits is only shown. I dunno will have to mess with it after work tomorrow.

Figured out how to write! Just had to delete the license.dat file from RTD device and bam! Wrote the tune, started the truck and misfire/surge galore! Lol. Could smell fuel on driver side rail so pulled it, reset and oiled the seals. Re-installed with fingers crossed and boom she started right up and is purring like butter. Got it all done before heading into work this morning:D
