Someone learn me on the MAF airflow. Aren’t those numbers pretty much moot as far as referencing them for any actual airflow measurement once you’re tuned, especially if you had the intake scaled for a larger intake? I say that because that’s what’s getting scaled via the voltage reading. For instance, once I got my truck’s tune adjusted for the 4” intake, all of the g/s values for the MAF were lower on that table than before the larger intake and tune adjustment. They didn’t exceed mid 400s anywhere on the table IIRC meanwhile the stock limit is 512g/s or something? Meanwhile, it’s actually flowing more air not less.

Yeah I'm thinking pullies, MPVI, Injectors, maybe a pump/rail mod. Should have been the first thing done whilst hooking up the boost gauge lol

Just lowered my Power Enrichment values. I probably tweaked the Fuel Trims a tad too. I kind of obsess with them when I shouldn't.

That's substantial richening for just boost referencing! I'm in dire need to drop A/F. Stock Mag tune at my elevation has me at 11.3-4 WOT right now:(.......but I have a game plan in motion

Correct, the MAF values don't really have a unit. MAF and Injector Constant may as well be unit less and are both just variables that combined plus fuel trim equals target AFR.

What would you guys recommended between the Five O's vs prospeed 750's? Have read of some issues on the fives but looks like overall they work well. Thanks!

I would do the DW 650s probably. The Five-O service and issues @Wynnded had turns me off from them. The Prospeeds that I, @Fastlane47 and @Wynnded (now) has seem to be working good. Fastlane had an issue but their service seemed to be top notch to fix it, but maybe he can speak to that and Wyn to his issues.

However the issue I don't like with Prospeed, having installed two sets now on two trucks, is they're not really meant for our engine (I think they are LSA injectors maybe, I've been wanting to test fit the LSA injectors I have), so they need the harness to either be cut and spliced or they include what imo is a janky ass adapter harness that's like 7" long and ugly as sin and on top of that barely fits (the plugs literally are trimmed with a razor to clear and fit). So while the injectors themselves are fine, the execution is pretty bad.

Because of that, the DW 650 injectors that some people have seem like a fully plug and play and seemingly reliable option so far. Though the Prospeeds are larger than any other injector and even offer up to 1000cc, but as I said that's because I think they're LSA form injectors which would have a lot more options then.

In that case I'd go with the Prospeeds. The adapter harness you can live with, or if you want to get sexy you can take the different plugs and solder them into the injector harness which is what I did since I didn't like their solution  but in regards to the injectors themselves, mine have been flawless and the others can chime in with their experience.

That is damn janky to have to trim their adapter to fit the existing harness plug wtf. But the soldering/heatshrink option is manageable, especially if they are dependable and consistent. Thank you Sniv!

On some plugs you have that little bridge of material that goes over the actual tab that you depress to release the plug, that little bridge they cut off but then they don't trim the excess material down flush (doing this on a belt sander ends up with a really nice and consistent and smooth finish). That little material bridge sticks out so far that when plugged into the injector the plug gets squished between the blower/head and the fuel rail. No one would know they did anything if they trimmed the two little tabs that remain from when they cut the bridge off, but instead they leave these uneven and pointy remains which looks like shit (and in my case still was enough to stop the plug seating). The plug on the harness side is fine. So even if you splice the new injector plug into the harness you still need to go in and pretty up that plug that's been shaved down, but at least then you don't have a big loop of excess wire from the intermediate adapter they include.

I’ve got the five o’s. I personally don’t like an adapter harness on the injectors. I’ve ran them on street cars but the wheeling I do I’m trying to prevent less things working themselves loose lol

I think I understand. So the plug to injector they supply will need some TLC to seat properly. Then from there I can splice into the existing injector plugs and or use their janky ass adapter. I'm with you, excess conductors all over the rail ain't gonna fly lol

Yes exactly. If you get them it's obvious what I'm saying hahaha

Fastlane used the adapters I think. The last truck I installed the Prospeeds on a few months ago I actually used the harness adapter since I moved the injector harness over to the side of the engine so it actually cleaned it up (ironically) having a length of wire running to each injector instead of a short blob of wire right on top of the rail like the stock setup is. Ultimately, the point is the Prospeeds need a little more love than a 100% plug and play stock style injector.

10-4, once in hand I'll take a look at their setup. If the adapter wiring can be cleaned up and as long as the connection to existing injector plug is tight may go that route..... It's worrisome sometimes when you have multiple connection points. Higher chance for failure imo

I tried two sets of the Fiveos and had the same super rich starting issue with them both. My vote goes to the Prospeed injectors, janky harness and all. If you are interested, I can send you the Fives and you can see if they work in your truck, gratis. Maybe order a set from Prospeed to have on hand in case the Fives don't pan out. That way you're not having to change back to what you have now while waiting on the Prospeeds. If the Fives work, return the unused Prospeeds.

I can try to get some pics of how I routed the pigtails tomorrow. I'm okay with it at this point.

That's awfully nice of you to offer me to try! I just pulled the trigger on the PS. Odd the fives are super rich on crank up..... I believe @Land Bruiser had a hard start issue but not 100% sure if he's running the Five O's. Think he had the injector pulse adjusted via his tuner and the problem presisted....

Let me know if you want them, they're of no use to me. I spent months trying to get them to work in my truck trying everything that I could think of or have suggested to me to try. I even drove the truck to a near sea level elevation (to visit family) to see if that made a difference, but nope.
I think @Land Bruiser is running something like a 1000cc injector, I don't recall from who though.

Well if you tried for months with adjustments to injector tables not sure what more I could do other the mess with the injector tables once MPVI3 arrives. Especially if 2 sets have the same problems. @snivilous, could this rich starting issue be a injector starting table that needs adjustment in open loop?

@Wynnded is the man to ask, when dude says he tried stuff, he was super scientific and tried every possible combination. Additionally, most tunes don't have access to startup injector settings (some do, most don't it seems like), so you can end up being extremely limited what you can do for hard starting issues.

I figured if he said he's tried everything and it still doesn't work then my dumbass won't be able to figure it out lol. Interesting their is no table for injector open loop at start. Haven't seen a single table or plot so I have no idea as of yet what is available for adjustment. Was shooting in the dark
