No not yet probably mid to late December. I’m still out of town for work. The XAT pulleys just arrived to the house the old lady said. So I’ll install these and the motors mounts at the same time.

Yes. Thank you. Tracking his response to you as well. He basically restated the same in blenton's other thread : https://www.tundras.com/threads/y-pipe-vs-dual-inlet-muffler.133820/#post-3398846

When I look at the exhaust options out on the market only a few post #s gained and they are were all pretty small gains.

With LTH I gained on the small end and lost some right before peak. The gains are small however ~6WHP and I still have the single out stock exhaust.

So if power gains are the only concern LTHs probably aren't the best option. Lower PSI is worth it for me.

Going back to the coolant discussion from a few days ago, I asked magnuson and they said water wetter is fine in their intercooler systems, as is toyota red coolant.

How much coolant does it take to refill the truck and intercooler system after install?

Totally and completely understood :) There is a small two lane railroad underpass that I drive under often. I'm known to drop the rear windows an inch or two and downshift a few gears while throttling through. It puts a smile on my face every time. In fact, my boy told me it's one of his favorite sounds. Haha.

Not sure if the machinist is ordering material or starting the CAM programming, but we decided to drop the 77.5mm pulley down to 76mm because that allows him to use a 3" square billet where as the 77.5mm needed barely over 3" so would result in a lot more wasted material. Considering it's a ~2% size difference I thought that was fair, and might be able to drop the price of the pulleys down more then.

I lost power down low ever since the cats went with factory exhaust. After headers and new mufflers, it still feels slower than factory exhaust with cats. The setup is happier with the better flow (I've read) and the sound is unreal, however!

I had the LT's and 3 inch duals before SC. How its setup now I believe I lost 3 psi but I'm ok with that! It flows well and sounds great. @nobodyintexas I hear ya. It just brings out the kid in you. Haha

    I think it's roughly 3 gallons...on the lower end...the truck itself takes 2 gallons...

A 3 PSI drop is significant even if you made the same power.

But that's a good thing, ya? PSI is just a measure of pressure - or restriction. If the airflow via the MAF was the same it just means it was moving the air more efficiently. Gale Banks goes on about this extensively in a couple of videos.

It is very much a good thing, yes. Engine is running more efficient with less restriction. It is the "hidden" benefit of LTHs IMO but we tend to focus on HP/TQ #s.

I haven't seen much supporting the engine runs cooler with headers but I hear this occasionally touted as a benefit as well.

You should absolutely lose psi when adding headers since psi is showing restriction. The win is when you re pulley for more boost. Limiting factor is always the shortblock here but this is standard on platforms that can take the power.

I may have figured out the MPG issue. Driving to the airport Saturday I noticed the tree didn't seem to be shifting out of 4th, I put it in S6 and it behaved like drive but shifted up to being under 2k @ cruising speeds (had been staying over 2500) I was 14 miles into a fill up so I'll continue to drive in S6 & see what the tank averages.

    Apparently Auto Meter owns Innovate.

This is the PSB-1 for the BMW.

Of course it's coming the day after I go to N.Y.

Did you want to have the intake plenum gaskets on hand? I reused mine when going from N/A to the 1900, but used new ones for the 2650 transition. I didn't even bother to inspect the old ones, I just moved on.

You could always do the Figs Coolant Reservoir: Supercharger Heat Exchanger Coolant Tank TRD Magnuson (shopfigs.com)

    Gauge Mount for the PSB-1:
The FlexPod Gauge Mount for Toyota Tundra 3rd gen XC50 2014 to 2021 52mm (cravenspeed.com)
    Toyota Tacoma N300 3rd Gen /tundra Vent Pod XK50 2nd Gen - Etsy

Longer vacuum line for the PSB-1 (depending on where you want to mount the MAP Sensor), the vacuum line included with the gauge is pretty short ~8" or so

I think I'll skip the $400 coolant reservoir for now, unless it adds like 200hp :eek2:

Good info on the vacuum line though

Probably just going to 3d print my own gauge mount.

Is there any positive to the Figs vs stock Maggy reservoir? It appears to be the same size but perhaps is it due to Maggy going to plastic vs Alum? My OE Maggy reservoir is Aluminum for reference...

Does aluminum have a higher heat conductivity than plastic? I know certain plastics can have higher heat resistance used in aerospace industries. But does it make that huge of a difference?

I'm not aware of any plastic that comes remotely close to thermal conduction of metallics. Quick searching appears to only be a difference of ~500x :D

I heard the stock Magnuson plastic tanks have a tendency to leak where the hose connects at the bottom of the reservoir. That was the only reason I bought the Figs tank upfront for my install back in 2020. The Figs tank is a nicely built unit for sure, but pricey.

With the heat cycles these things go through, that makes perfect sense...I won't change mine until it leaks...though, it IS an aluminum version of the plastic one and is PC'd...must've been a very early example...

It should, the tank from my 1900 was swapped directly to my 2650... Convince them to send me one and I'll test fit it. :D

I met this dude a few blocks down and he's swapping his supercharger to a newer tundra he just bought. Today I helped him for a few hours and he's gonna buy a pulley and then I'll tune it. But the exciting thing is I pulled the supercharger (Magnuson 1900) off tonight, and tomorrow I'm gonna bring the scanner over and scan the engine bay and then supercharger before we button it up! Then I don't have to take my truck apart to scan it for nitrous/meth plates! And I had forgotten what the intake runners look like: it's a straight shot down (unlike a LS for example) so plates between the blower and heads will effectively be a 2D part so should be very easy (and cheap) to machine. Dude is going I'll pay you to help and yada yada, and I'm like dude I'm stoked I can get a scan out of it without tearing down my own truck :D
