    Sorry my man.

My mechanic did it, he said it was not difficult, just time consuming and I do not have a lift (yet!), I'm trying to see if Dinesh can soften the 1-2 shift with TCM when not WOT, but yea it shifts solid and quick, it feels like it gets to speed lot quicker (or just my imagination).

good to know....this is my Jan mod.

Presently - my only "fear" is the perceived amount of slush on the 1-2. the tune cleans up a lot. a firm shift should assuage my fears.

    But @snivilous threw down the 4.4 0-60!

I'm guessing any decent Trans shop could do it?

Maybe I'll bring my laptop and see if I can get some more times today and see if it's repeatable and not a fluke.

And remember, I have the URD undersized pulley, I have 5.29s, I have a "somewhat" built trans that apparently has a valve body and torque converter upgrade, and I have Viktor's magic tune in it which messes with the trans too. I might have a lot of miles and ONLY a Magnuson but she has a few supporting mods :D

That one is really ugly. Black and color matched are OK, but overall the new truck is not hot and too spendy.

Magnuson in 2022 for my 2018. I've had one on my 2012 Taco since I bought it, and it's awesome.

I noticed the Boost curves of the kenne bell/whipple are a tad different than a roots. the low end had less boost. good graphical representation.

I believe one of y'all talked about this many pages ago.

it also kinda explained how the Mag is making relatively larger boost at the low end because it spun faster.

    good stuff.

I’m thinking maybe I should get a Dragy to get more accurate 0-60/ and 1/4 times. Here I thought they were over 200 bucks, but I’m seeing them for 159. Are they on sale at that price, what did you guys that have it pay for it?

I like the idea of the dragy, but all the reviews say the unit and the app are a POS so I can't bring myself to buy one

What coolant are you guys running? Mine's obviously burped through and the overflow is nearing empty. Don't really want to buy it from Toyota since the dealer is about an hour round trip. I have a Wal-Mart and all the common Advance Auto, O'Reillys, Auto Zones etc around me. Thanks guys.

I was reading them too and I know what you mean. It has me on the fence. From what I understand it’s the only accurate way other than going to a drag strip or spending money on a more expensive device like TFLtruck uses. I am curious if there is a way to check it with my HPtuners MVPI2 and VCM Scanner or not.

Assuming you mean the supercharger coolant this is what I have in mine that meets Harrop specifications. I know, a Ford product in my Toyota…blasphemous.

Yeah it's the little black reservoir next to the blower and the small overflow tank that's attached to the back side of the radiator. The small overflow tank is getting close to low and I was told to keep an eye on it by the installer. It's definitely pink coolant.

Ok. Sorry to say your probably want to get OEM Toyota coolant only then if that’s what was used. There is no suitable substitute for it in the truck coolant loop, the supercharger loop you have options at initial install but obviously you don’t want to mix them. So If everything has pink Toyota, I’d only use that.

Shop finally got back to me and said they used Dexcool in the intercooler system and Asian Red Zerex in the engine.

I would suspect D3 tuned the truck with the Harrop regulator. No need to switch back to stock regulator if your having a custom tune done as it will all be adjusted for with in the tune. If you are getting a canned tune you need to ask what FPR the tune is done for. Hope this helps, sorry for the late reply we were away at PRI last week.

Dragy has been the easiest app for me to use.

    and I'm not very appy.

is it accurate? I guess so...

@boringdriver peer pressured me into buying it.....and youtube has some damn convincing videos.

Now that all the poo-bah meetings are behind me, I'll be attempting to get a 5.1 0-60.

I can confirm they used the Harrop Regulator.

Pietz Performance installed whatever was in the stage 1 kit.

D3 Performance tuned & only added the 80mm pulley & injectors.

advice - get a firm install date & timeframe. They are super busy with C8 turbos & tend to prioritize them. I paid them a little extra to slide me in on the weekend.

Prospeed was my next go-to if Pietz could not get me on the schedule. they seem to have more capacity

No install date yet but curious if there's anything I should be doing to the truck pre-install, i.e., switching from 87 to 91 or 93, etc. I'm due an oil change as well. 57K miles in DFW on a '16.
