Yes, most put the tanks in trunk or bed of truck. I've seen tanks in fenders and bumpers but not ideal as you cant see the flame when it burns when an accident happens...

Seems like a resurgence of methanol use. Researchers are trying to use it with hydrogen fuel for cars and aircraft. Hmm, history... Hindenburg comes to mind.

Back when the flex fuel were running unichip some were at 8-9psi. Only running the 535cc injectors and flex fuel pump.

Off topic and not supercharger related but finally got shifter cables installed and car out of the center of my garage! Hasn't been daily driven for years so emissions, fresh oil, double check on tune, registration tomorrow and then finally some space for the Tundra:headbang:

It’s true. Boost is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. New truck purchases are now ruined for me for the foreseeable future, the expectations are too high in the power department.

    That's some facts!

I think I decided to wait for the Whipple kit from XAT when it comes out, for the GX470

I had a procharged truck back in the day, and my life has been empty and meaningless since I sold it. This should be even better.

Whatever this forum told me to do
I could bore y'all to tears with daily updates to how awesome a S/C'd Tundra is. (maybe I already do?)

latest update...I noticed when the bypass closes, the boost jumps considerably higher than when I had the 80mm pulley.

I'm not quite comfortable with it yet, as the truck moves faster than ever.

it does this in a way you know is probably not good for the engine.

    Life is good.

Since removing my brass bypass venturi, my "get up and going" routine seems shorter...well, it is...I am able to get to speed and maintain much faster and the other perk, my mpg has increased due to this. Happy days!!

It was an s-10. Didn't get traction in the first 3 gears but it sounded awesome.

I think that is exactly what it is doing by restricting air flow to the atmosphere side of the diaphragm.

I went out for a drive when that thread started. I brought a drill and an assortment of drill bits and small vise. I drilled out the passage in the venturi until I got a happy but faster boost increase. I opened the passage about 2/3 rds more than what it was.

Since switching injectors, intake, smaller pulley and some other blah blah stuff I have an increase in mpg. After @snivilous last tune I went from 10.7 to 12.8mpg's. That's just with one tank and close to the readout. Just driving around town with some highway cruising.

Here's a question related to mpg: Do you guys with proper tunes go into PE and shoot for afr's in the 10's as soon as you get into boost or only at higher rpm/boost levels?

Yes. as soon as PE hits, I go to 10's.

Albeit, my smaller pulley has it a wee bit wonky right now.
