On the Harrop, the boost reference port is on the driver's side of the unit. In the picture below you can see my vacuum line (black) running down to the port from my vacuum manifold.

For what it's worth, I can confirm the truck is running as it should. You're entering enrichment and getting into boost. It's a gauge/installation issue 100%.

@19PlatinumCrew look on your intake back side there is a vacuum port for your fuel regulator. See if they teed your boost reference there. The boost ref should be on drivers side rear of blower by fuel disconnect.

I've snapped two different URD pulley studs just like that...
not that it really matters, but were you able to tell the difference in the way it was cast? I bought a TB for the tundra off Amazon to troubleshoot my issues, and you could very definitely tell it was a Sand Cast process, with all the bumps on the outside metal. The OEM is smooth.

Mine are aftermarket. Don't quote me, but from my understanding, if the 1st set of catalytic converters are of good quality, then you shouldn't run into downstream O2 errors, as the secondary set of cats aren't monitored.

I live south of Denver but was staying at a Marriott in SLC when they were stollen. East California, I mean Colorado, follows CARB which UT couldn't care less about. That said, my options for my situation were EPA approved cats. A shop was able to source Magnaflow cats, the drivers side being "OEM Grade" and the passengers side being a lesser quality "EPA Approved." Since everyone else's cats were being stolen at the time, cats were scarce, and I needed to get back on the road, so I went with what they could find. Unfortunately my codes are coming from the passenger side (the lesser quality), so it looks like I'm buying another bank of cats.
    upload_2023-10-24_10-35-47.png

I thought I'd try my luck as I had heard from others good fortune using the URD tool. In retrospect, I wish I waited a month for the 4-bolt hub 2650 Maggie (I unknowingly purchased my S/C shortly before the 2650 was released)
But yes, a press would have been the way to go. I am loving the pulley though! I'll shoot you an email about getting a 2.0 pulley.

In my experience using the URD tool, it's required to heat up the pulley so it slides on better. Not in instructions, but it's what I had to do. Wish I had the press I have now from the beginning. 20-ton Harbor freight press made it super simple. Could've bought the smaller one and it would've still been an infinitely better experience over the URD tool.

Funny you should mention adding heat, as that is exactly what I did! I think what happened is I added too much heat, the heat transferred to the tool and fatigued the stud.
The second round I cooled the pulley shaft by spraying it with an upside-down can of dustoff, then added a moderate amount of heat to the hub. Went on like butter!

Interesting to see such a performance difference between the two sets of cats.

Agreed! I use OBD Fusion (when not logging with HP Tuners) and have a stock pile of data logs. I found that on average, the cats run about 200º hotter now, than they did prior to supercharging. I imagine the larger volume of gases during acceleration exacerbated the poor performance of the lesser quality cats, as my P0430 didn't appear until after adding the S/C. Just a theory.

Just wanted to give an update on my TVS 2560 install. I was planning on starting once I received my Mazdaspeed shift cables so I could get that car out of my garage. Problem is wouldn't be shipped out till the 29th so I wouldn't have started until beginning of November. So Figs engineering, the shop I bought my kit from offered to do the install at a fair deal. On top of that they will be documenting the whole install since unbeknownst to me my Tundra will be the first Magnuson 2650 installed in Colorado. So I dropped the truck and kit off this morning. They have started the tuning process but as of now the HP tuner is having trouble communicating with my 2017 ECU to pull the ID. They have reached out to Magnuson to see what needs to happen. Once that's figured the kit install will commence. I'll keep this thread updated as I hear back:cool:

Weren't there a few Tundras that had the same issue with HPT reading the file. It just needs to generate a generic file for that year?

The HP RTD connects but will not pull the ECU ID/information. Mike used his VF tuner and it connected and read the ECU no problem so not sure why the HP is having troubles....

Not RTD, but my HPT wouldn't communicate to read the file until I updated to the latest beta version. Works perfectly now. My truck is an '07 tho...

He might need an update on the firmware. From my reading of the instructions for the RTD. But if he has the mpvi cable he doesn’t need the rtd at all

I've seen files that has garbled data too. It'd pull the tune but some of the variables were all jacked up.

    Oh yeah, it's been excellent!

And while I don't care about fuel economy as long as it sits above single digits, I did have to laugh at the 21.4mpg average while on a road trip at 75-80mph lol

Been having plenty of fun with it already though. Hardware is really well made as you'd expect as well.

Magnuson's full color install guide (while available online nonetheless) included as a nice booklet was a nice addition too.

I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying it so far! It definitely transforms the truck IMO. Is it also a quieter whine like the Harrop seems to be? You’re probably not getting worse MPG, but if you were going by the dash readout it was probably optimistic by at least 5mpg from the difference in injector size. If you want to track it accurately I recommend the scangauge 2 or 3 and you can calibrate the fuel usage to get an accurate MPG, distance to empty, and gallons used/remaining readout. It’s invaluable info in my case towing a TT long distances at 8mpg lol.

With 535cc injectors, I have averaged the last 40k miles at 5.3mpg off from what my computer says to what is actual hand-calc'd...it's perfect for those sitting next to you that complain about MPG...I mean the boss :hattip:

I was just tracking by the dash, I've never cared enough to actually track it more accurately or account for my 285's. And I've always taken the numbers with a healthy grain of salt due to my commute to work being only 9mi, 50% city...skews the numbers too much so I only really pay attention on road trips.

Whine is definitely quieter than the tvs1900, right about on par with what I remember the Harrop to be like but it's been a bit since I heard that one.
