Mine is welded in after the first O2 sensor on the drivers side. Ideally you would monitor both banks however. I may switch to a dual wideband one day. It’s harder to install it on the drivers side than the passengers but since cylinder 5 is the one that usually blows I went with bank 1.

+1 for the innov8 boost/AFR gauge. Little spendy but I haven't seen anything else that can monitor both plus it has a lot of other capabilities, and if integrated into the dash looks pretty factory.

Similar to above, but my O2 sensor is clocked about 90deg from the stock one on the passenger side.

    Photo pinched from @snivilous
I had mine installed in the same location, only the passenger side monitored.

Anyone else looking forward to that first 2022 driver pulling up beside you at the red light looking to show the old 5.7 there’s a new sheriff in town?

Seriously. Ugly truck and a pathetic result of a 14yr long effort. Funny enough,, now that you can see a 5.7 vs. A turbo v6, I came in here to ask if folks think stage 1 was enough to smoke a Pro. If not I'm going stage 2.

    stage 1 costs ~10k?

doing stage 2 right off the bat is only another $800.

if you wait to do stage 2 you will pay tuning fees twice.

you SAVE money doing stage 2.

    yeah, that's it....you save money.

This is what I saw as well from a pricing standpoint when I ordered so it was a no-brainer to just add stage2 right off the bat. So I'll pay a bit more than I told my wife, but at this point it is moot compared to the cost of the stage 1 parts, labor, and tune.

I think it’s enough. Stage 1 is still probably 520-550 crank HP and torque. I’m not here to piss on the 22, but I figured anyone lurking this thread is feeling a certain way so the ruffled feathers will be limited lol. If the idea of one considering the new truck is just for the better power, its more cost effective and fun to supercharge a 5.7 you already own IMO. Obviously power isn’t the main key factor for most people….just me. With a hint of reliability too.

If I did it all over I’d buy and install stage 2 from the get go. But part of me was very curious about stage 1. It’s easy for me to say you should spend more of your money of course, but if you go stage 2 later anyway you do save just skipping stage 1.

A question for the Magnuson folks.

are you running the stock tune or have you finagled it?

and if you finagled it, are you running the same pulley?

If I did not have a S/C, this thread would be dangerous to read.

I believe it has assuaged just about every fearful aspect of boostage.

    We even cover wife communication.

    We are thorough.

I feel like the spousal communication aspect of this thread is the most important aspect. My wife has already gone from 'hell no' to 'well make sure you save up for it...'

I'm running the stock Magnuson tune and stock pulley at the moment. Waiting for my MPVI2+ to arrive and then ViktorG will be remote tuning mine.

I know that this wasn't directed at me, but this is what I did. Image courtesy of URDUSA. As I mentioned earlier, I used the single gauge with two parameters monitored. I mounted that gauge on the left hand side as it interfered with fewer things in the factory cluster. It blocks the gear selector and the CEL, but a slight tip of the head brings them into view.

Mines an 08, and I don't use the stock brake controller so I replaced the spot that went with the gauge and an adapter I made.
