Are you saying that given there is demand for a 77.5mm for this platform, Harrop would make one?

Well that saves me and everyone else time and money if Harrop does the 77.5mm themselves :D

Look at this grade "A" customer service.

I don't see Magnuson or Whipple here offering this service.

Why? I honestly think your design is better than what they offered. That modular design is <chef kiss> perfection.

I’m all for supporting you and your speed shop business if you feel it’s worth your time and money invested to make and sell the pulleys. If you don’t feel it’s worth your time though and are just doing it to help out forum members, I’ll just buy from Harrop if they offer one in that case. I think that 2.5mm increments for in-between all of the pulley sizes below 85mm all kind of have a market for some potential buyers.

On my side its not difficult to make that happen but i'm happy to share the data required if you'd like to make them and offer them to the community.

If Harrop or some other big name company can do it, by all means please go for it. As I was just telling @Saltyhero13, I'm usually lucky to break even selling parts and purely do it for fun and to help push the envelope a little bit further. Harrop selling an extra pulley size will make Harrop money, give a cheaper option (than me doing it), give OEM support, make it more available than some dude on a forum, and ultimately I'll save time and money!

That's why I say it's a win all around, I win, Harrop wins, and the community wins. If someone wants to mass produce modular pulleys for Magnuson's I'll gladly give them my design too! Same goes for throttle body adapters LOL :D

I also think it is extremely cool everything you've said. I would buy a Harrop purely due to your comments in the past hour. Having someone from the OEM that can actually make stuff happen and openly talks to the community and is accessible is huge. PLUS being willing to work with people. I've talked to companies before trying to get CAD and measurements and been completely brushed off, which is infuriating (and why I'll never buy anything from Currie Enterprises). So thank you for the support Chris!

For anyone intrested in a 77.5mm pulley, please send an email to info@harrop-usa.com so we can work out how many need to be made.

I've heavily contemplated making suppressors since the technology is about as archaic as possible and most options are just incredibly lazy and overpriced. With that said I've only made one 9mm monocore I milled out of a block of aluminum  but as with most things, actually getting that idea rolling is a lot of time and money and effort that I'd rather spend on racecars that rarely run lmao

I don’t think we would even be talking about this if we didn’t have a custom race part machinist active on the forums.

There are some interesting comparisons of the two blowers on vette forums. I wonder what numbers the Lariat would push running 37s in this scenario. Both 0-60s are impressive numbers for big trucks.

That's gnarly how quick those are, 4.0 and 4.1 to 60. Interestingly the raptor is right at 20% drivetrain loss.

Something that always annoys me is the units that journalists use. They say "pound-feet" which is technically more correct than "foot-pounds" but literally no one ever calls it "pound-feet", so they're going for being hyper-physics correct but in the same stroke say "pounds of boost" which is completely incorrect. Does that annoy anyone else :D it's like their all snarky and proper in one instance and then completely retarded at the same time.

I've been wanting to surcharge my truck for a bit but today I found a 2008 factory supercharged single cab for sale. It has a faint rattle at idle in the supercharger.
The guy says its the bearings in the coupler and he has a kit to fix it. How difficult is it to remove just the blower? And would it be easy enough to fix myself or would it be worthwhile to send it off for a full rebuild/inspection?

It's not difficult to fix the coupler issue. I would send it out for a rebuild while it's off just for peace of mind.
