I think it’s because they like to bring a bag of ice to the drag strip and ice the heat exchanger. Us Harrop and Whipple folks aren’t that cool unless we want to mess up our rotors from the aluminum case shrinking and touching the rotor edges.

Me personally I never heard of Harrop up until I started searching for Tundra blowers and it took a while to convince me to buy it from the down under.

The popularity of other brands makes less sense to me since reading that Eaton makes the TVS rotors for several brands. At that point it comes down to packaging and features with the potential for very marginal gains. The Maggie 3 year/30K mile warranty is a big stand out to me.

Whipple is really the big stand out with the twin screws, not sure Bell makes a blower for Tundra.

I though Chen was going with a TVS1900 in his previous video. Probably misremembering that he had a baseline run in that one.

You are absolutely right though! With the variance on dynos a baseline run comparison would have been nice.

Seems most stock Tundras dyno between 285-310whp. I'll take that as my baseline

Seems that way. Makes me think since my baseline was higher than most base runs that I am actually making less at the top end. I'd like to get my truck on a heartbreaker at some point not really expecting or wanting more than 500WHP.

Is the consensus temp impacts boost? At 110+ I barely get over 7lbs, this was yesterday.

    8lbs boost gauge.jpg

Also, does anyone know how to see the revision on my ECU? Apparently, the ethanol fix came in 30CK0600

I did some logging yesterday in 105 deg temps and still saw over 10psi.. iat's were hitting ~140 when letting off. This morning in 70 deg weather.. same mid to high 10's for boost

Figured out the ECU version, have codes my generic scanner does not see both are fuel pump/FFV switching valve.

Now I need to figure out if version 30CK6700/ 50C79000 should have the ethanol issues.

Temp absolutely impacts temps. MAS flow of air is what you want. Higher temps is less dense air meaning less power and boost etc Gale banks has more info this

Opened the hole up a bit and will be adding louver type thing. We will see how the louvers do during the wet season and again I can run my winterized block off plate.

I've only had the 75mm on in 90 deg+ weather. Excited to see what it'll make in the winter. Im on the 20th logging session with PS and Chris says im finally dialed in after today.

Should I use the metal gasket? If so between the intake & adapter or the other side?

Yup, when it goes in it will get the caps, Where should I use the metal gasket it came with? At the SC or the TB side of the adapter?

Do I use the black Toyota liquid gasket maker? Really want to do this once.
