Harrop guys. For the ones that were having problems with the MAF extension cable, what codes were you getting? I have one of my really good customers here with a stage 2 harrop that has a P0102-Mass airflow circuit low input, P0171-Bank 1 lean, and P0174-Bank 2 system lean. Before i start diving in trying to figure this out, it sounds like it could be an issue with that harness. Thanks in advance.

Whatever this forum told me to do
I had all kinds of error messages. it put the truck in limp mode. like, when it went bad, it went very bad....there was no middle ground.

it's been great since the new cable.

my P0171's came from a vacuum leak from the vacuum connection, just under the snout. I tightened that up. all is well.

I'll try to find the pictures I took of the scanguage messages....

I think the code I was getting with the Harrop TB extension harness was P0121

Ok thanks. @nobodyintexas thank you but i'm looking more for specific dtc's. It is kind of a mess but this customer had somebody who may or may not be that mechanically inclined driving around in this truck for a few months trying to diagnose a transmission issue before bringing it to me. Long story short it ended up getting a transmission. On the initial road test those three codes come up pretty quickly and the truck drives pretty bad. He has a full prospeed fuel system and the regulator reads around 50 psi at idle. What sucks is the customer has not driven the truck himself for so long he said he doesnt know how long he has had those codes. I just want to help him out. I put the genuine cooling systems trans cooler in for him as well while the trans was out. Hopefully that prevents another trans failure.

That is odd. Looks as if all codes were cleared and all the monitors have not been set yet. But i appreciate the input!

I learned from my emission test hell, clearing any code sets all monitors to not ready.

Freaking sucks. I got the 101 the day after I finally passed so no care that it's not ready.

    Lol

I thought @nobodyintexas had a bad throttle body extension harness, not the MAF with IAT breakout harness.

Did you have your headers on when you passed? I have to go. I can get 6 out of the eight monitors to pass. Catalyst and Oxygen sensor being the 2 that will not pass. I have cats but clearly they are not going to pass the monitor. I have tried multiple combos of 02 sensor non foulers etc but the waveform for the rear 02 sensors is never correct and it will always throw either a cat code or 02 sensor code. Its a pain! if the cel is on you can't use cruise control and that is annoying! I'm pretty sure here in CT you can pass with 2 monitors not being set but i don't remember if that is 100% true or not.

    Crossposting for visibility:

Fun, work is NOT extending my team's employment. We were told last November that we would be laid off at the end of September, with a possibility of an extension. Well, no extension is being made, and our lay off date stands. Below is my LinkIn Profile. Please feel free to share it with anyone you know that is hiring. I will have to wait until my lay off date to start any new position, so that I receive my severance.

I've been a Data Center Engineer for Pearson Education the last 5.5 years, and was a Data Center Operations Specialist for Flexential Data Centers for 6 years prior to that. I currently own Data Center Remote Hands LLC, and have business insurance through Berkshire Hathaway. I specialize in complete hardware lifecycle management. From initial installation, break-fix, and decommissioning. Managing all aspects of a Data Center cage, working closely with supporting infrastructure teams, and coordinating with vendors.

That’s the throttle body extension which I eliminated altogether to spare myself that possible issue. All of harnesses can be checked for if they’re the problem by just removing them basically. The MAF one will just temporarily read IAT at the MAF instead of the dedicated sensor if it’s removed, but could prove if the harness is causing the code or not.

I don't have the headers on the Sequoia, the Tundra had the same Doug Thorleys with OEM cats & passed.
