It should be easy as pie.
I swapped my Maggie w/all associated parts, and fuel tank, off a doner truck, over to my current tundra...then put all the stock parts Off my current tundra back on the doner truck had both running and back together in my driveway over a weekend.

    THAT!

my hose is a smidge bigger....it was leaking when it got cold.

you could wiggle the hose & see the air gap.

i used a pipe band to MAKE it fit.

Yes. Magnuson dropped HP Tuner in favor of OVs Tuner to make this happen.

I just ordered up a Magnuson kit for my 21’ Pro. It’s hard to get away from the fact that Magnuson was the OEM provider for Toyota for years. Not to mention their kit makes plenty of power for me. I don’t plan for anything more. When are you expecting your kit?

    as a guesstimate....is the Magnuson turning ~8psi? for a 160hp gain.

    I gained 120hp off of 6psi

Magnuson claims 162 hp gain. They put out like 6.5-7 psi from what I’m seeing and being told.

Was it really hot out when you had yours on the dyno? If so I’d be curious if you had another go in some cooler weather if you would both make a little more boost and make even more power. Mine hits 7psi usually. I know Harrops website claims 160hp gain in stage 1 as well. Also, how soon are you planning to do the stage 2 upgrade? I’m excited to see your results. I’m on the cusp of ordering the pulley and injectors and a remote tune pack. I may do it any minute, hour, or day now depending on how impulsive I am.

    yes...it was 93 in the garage + 1 billion % humidity

Stage 2 - waiting on the parts from Harrop. 1 week? I had to get the grippy pulley, the regular 80mm was backordered.

What did Harrop get for the parts? I checked with SDHQ and Superchargersonline. Seems like the injectors are gonna run 600 and the pulley is 140 for a Harrop or 165 for the griptec. I’ll probably just get the injectors through DAP with the tune pack. I’d budget for a different intake as well on stage 2, it seems like there’s a good chance we will exceed the MAF voltage scale with the factory 3.5” intake tube. Harrop said some customers find that limit on the 80mm, and I’ve seen a few cases now where they had to upgrade the intake to get it tuned right.

    Our tuning talk was good.

I'm getting the safest, old man tune to 500whp. Nothing wild. safe AFR's.

firming up the 1-2 shift a tad.

and my Trans cooler comes in soon.

$750-ish for parts. The MAF might need a larger intake coming from airbox - he explained air math, but I zoned out...we will cross that bridge soon.

DAP says I can expect 40-50hp gain from going with bigger injectors and a tune with the 85mm. Switching to the 80mm he said is good for an extra 20-30hp on top of that. Not sure if it’s worth the extra 450-$500 for a pulley and a larger intake for that much power. Not to mention the added stress although likely minimal from the higher boost

Magnuson measures at the crank. Drivetrain Loss has not been factored in. They advertise 162 gain over the stock 381 number to have 543 hp. No way anyone's stock Tundra dynos 381 at the hub or wheels.

The Harrop is measured at the hub. This puts the stock Tundra at 318 hp which looks more reasonable with a 17% drivetrain Loss, factor that into Harrops advertised number and crank HP with their supercharger is 580 HP. I would expect there to be a little more gain on same psi with the Harrop since it is larger.
    • Stage 1 (50 State Emissions Approved) @ 6.5 psi – 478hp / 463 ft-lbs (+160hp / +88 ft-lbs over stock)

This is my understanding as well. AND I do not want to start a mag vs harrop issue.

it's just that the Harrop is larger & by all other indications thermally cooler (visually too, but whatever). therefore, it's ability to make power are clearly obvious. The Mag turns faster & produces more heat for the same PSI.

    Both solutions are fantastic.

    on a Mustang dyno....I did 287whp stock....405whp w/stage 1. so 120-ish gain.

    mag = 543hp-17% = 450whp
I can see the Mag putting an additional 50hp out @ 7psi with a tune. (and it not being AFRICA hot & humid during the dyno run!!!)

Mine goes in shop today for stage 2. I deserve Stage 2.

trans cooler arrives today. I am conserving cuss words, so as to not run out during install.

Super excited to see what the stage 2 does. I was on the fence of getting the Harrop because of your issue with the lean codes but now that you may have gotten it fixed, the urge to buy is coming back!

I understand what you are saying about not wanting it to be a Magnuson vs Harrop issue. I just wanted to point it out that both advertised numbers are measured differently and cannot be compared directly. I wouldn't want them to think the Magnuson makes 550 HP while Harrop only makes 480.

Agreed - both blowers accomplish what they set out to do. and the Mag is using marketing math.

The lean codes are a non-issue now. it's purring like a kitten.
It was a simple install error - using the wrong pipe clamp.
