Viktor told me to go to the 450 since I had a 340 and he said it wasn't enough with the Magnuson equivalent pulley you have. Though making the fuel lines parallel certainly won't hurt anything.

If you skip the fuel lines and only change the fuel pump to a 450 and try it again please report back if that got you where you need to be. With the Harrop kit using a boost referenced FPR that runs around 50psi at the max it would seem the DW 340LPH would be right at the max of its rated capabilities at 600Whp if I’m looking at this calculator and chart correctly, with a little buffer at 550Whp.

Edit: not sure how to interpret the “Boost” portion of the calculator though. Not sure if that’s referencing the boost from the turbo/blower which honestly doesn’t make sense that it would need that, or a boost pump which in that case I am using the calculator wrong on the calculations.

Did you do a remote tune? And is it locked?

    Ya I’ll let you know.
They lock your file so you can’t see or make any adjustments.

Yea I have a local rep who data logged and tailor tuned it remotely. I believe it is locked which is fine since it dialed I don’t need to adjust anything. Once I go to the smaller pulley I’ll get it retuned

Maybe mine was different because I used Justin BEFORE he joined OTT, but the file he gave me for the Tacoma was not locked. It may depend on if you're data logging things yourself to send off to them like I'll be doing....could also just be a different policy OTT has that Justin didnt

Then again, even if what they gave you is locked, can't you just install it, then take a new reading for an unlocked file?

Wait, last time. Are you considering it locked because you don't own HPTuners hardware, and subsequently have not bought the credits to unlock your vin? In that case ya it's "locked". But if you have the hardware and the credits required (4), then shouldn't have any issues modifying the file they give you yourself

Files can be key locked, where they can only be viewed and edited by the licensed user who created and locked it, and VIN locked, preventing flash to a VIN not matching the encoded one.

I am under the impression tunes can be encrypted so they cannot be seen or edited. Someone correct me if I am mistaken.

Conceivably, but there's a lot of shit to try and reverse engineer. Timing, fuel, limits, shifting, etc.

I don't think this is true, but it's been awhile since I unlocked mine. The tune isnt vin specific, you can look at and edit any tune, you just need to unlock the vin to flash that truck. You unlock the vin to flash the truck, if it's a remote tune the tuner doesn't also need to unlock the truck to make the tune.

I think the file is locked for liability reasons also. So you can’t go in and f it all up and blame them.

This is the biggest thing, yes.

The tuning community is competitive. You don't want to release a superior tune that everyone wants just for your competition to steal it and claim it as their own

Do any of the supercharger kits come with a boost referenced fuel pressure regulator? It is my understanding that you don't need one when the boost is under about 6 PSI.... but when you install a smaller pulley, you raise the boost pressure and will run lean at full boost and high RPM (the reason you don't run lean at low RPM is because the injector has more time to spray fuel). The ECU will try to compensate but you will reach the limits of the injectors soon. My theory is that if, you run fuel to the rails in parallel and the return into one boost referenced fuel pressure regulator set to increase fuel pressure on a 1 to 1 ratio. You will cure the lean fueling condition when boost is over 6 PSI. That is pretty much what I took from the video here. I even think the 340LPH fuel pump and 535cc injectors would be adequate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tspt_JSiq3E

The Harrop kit comes with a factory style FPR that is modified to increases the fuel pressure and when hooked up as per the install directions for stage 1 is boost referenced. I left it that way going to stage 2 as well.

Edit: reference steps O and P from the install guide shown here.

My cobras had the Eaton with nitrous then I moved to the Kennebell awesome motors in those. I was building a custom twin turbo kit before I sold it.

I’ve got the 650’s and I think it’s going to be cutting it kind of close. Been seeing 90% duty cycle. I tried doing a log yesterday with the new 450 pump but when I got into WOT the truck did some weird shit where it felt like it cut fuel. So I told OTT we should wait till I get the fuel lines and pressure regulator hooked up today or tomorrow. I’m not 100% sure which line that boost/vacuum line on the regulator connects to.

I installed the 750cc injectors, the RFC throttle body, PS intake, 2.3 pulley and the bigger intercooler. The tuner is set up for Monday, I guess I will be towing to them, this thing is dumping fuel and I don't want to mess anything up by driving 40 miles to them.

Did it fall flat on its face, cut all power and give you a dead gas pedal for a couple seconds?

I let off as it happened and coasted for a little and was too scared to try it again. I figured since I will have the fuel lines and regulator getting delivered yesterday and today, I’ll just wait to be on the safe side. You guys know way more than I do, would you know where the vacuum/ boost line on the fuel pressure regulator needs to be connected to on the Harrop? I’ve been researching all morning

Ok, was just wondering if you were having the weird intermittent cut out issues that myself and @boringdriver have experienced. The FPR is boost referenced to the only open boost port on the blower (to my knowledge) which is the brass barbed fitting toward the rear drivers side of the blower, which is also where your boost gauge would be hooked up if you have one (and the brass barbed fitting would then subsequently have been removed to tee in a couple things.)

That was the first time I had it so that on a WOT. But ya it did feel like it cut fuel almost like back when I used to have VFtuner because it shifts based on vehicle speed instead of output shaft speed and with the 5.29’s I had to move all the shift points with 100% throttle because it would hit the rev limiter
