Ok supercharger gang so kicking the idea of wiring the intercooler pump to the switch pro. Then adding a 5 min post shutoff runtime. Think this will be helpful after long trail days or in general

Ok good talk lol now back to our regularly scheduled program. We did this back in the cobra and lightning days in between runs. Curious on the why not.

Maybe if you had an electric fan that would also blow air across the intercooler during the cycle. Otherwise it’s just pumping hot coolant around without any airflow to facilitate any heat exchange.

Between runs there may be a benefit I suppose (trial and error would prove/disprove this), but in about any other scenario, what would you be trying to accomplish?

since my coolant pump is now working consistently - thx @Saltyhero13, @Silver17 , et al, - i will comment on intercoolage

@ 60mph on cruise i have a +22-25 degree rise in IAT*. was damn consistent right up until - you know when.

you Maggy folks are probably a tad higher than +22 due to the smaller SINGLE intercooler brick. :boink:

so...unless you are moving a sh1t ton of air over the coolant radiator, you won't accomplish diddly-skwat.

putting on my new harness in the morning.....will revert with details.

    * if your intercooler pump is not on, your IAT will be about 160 degrees.:bananadead:

There we go I agree. I’ll just wire it into the switch pro to get rid of the relay and clean up some wiring I have in the area.

Video from the track, my truck and an A90 Supra. Don’t mind the gap between the supra and the truck too much, as according to the time slip he left an entire .7 seconds before I did (reaction time of .021 vs .713 seconds). He ran a 12.8@116, I did a 13.7@98.6. My best of 3 runs for the night was a 13.6@99.6. The whole experience now makes me want something like a Tacoma X-Runner to take to the track. The tundra is fun and surprises everyone, but it’s too important for other things I use it for to run it at the track often. I was warned by @Downytide and @ZPhilip that addiction may set in…

I cleaned up some wiring since the switch pro arrived. Wired the intercooler pump to it so far so good.

No codes is good. Not liking the emission codes not clearing quickly. After putting in the new intake I had to unplug my battery for 20 mins to get stuff to run correctly and clear my emissions codes.

I followed the TB calibration procedure and the idle procedure. Not sure I did it entirely correctly but everything cleared up quickly and I barely wait for emissions.

For TB: On a push to start you power everything up before ignition and slowly press the accelerator pedal down fully three times. Then power off and fully power on.

For Rough idle: shut off accessories chock the truck and put it in drive after hitting operating temps. Let it run for two mins as the comp recalibrates.

    2nd test drive

    no CEL's.

it runs as good as it ever did.

Taking it home will be the final test.

I tell you....having been away from the Tundra, the performance is awesome.

the square tired F350 was a slouch. I drove a 6.2 Denali 1500..it was squishy.

    the Tundra is nicely snappy.

My emissions codes appear to be clearing slowly....I guess because I cleared a bunch of sh!t in the initial panic.

If I make it home, i'm golden.

I'm having our resident electrician test the harness..will report back.
