Whatever this forum told me to do
I smile a bit when I see such consistency across all the builds. Jelly of the 512whp.

for comparison...my stage 2 TQ peaked @ 3900 (477/518) they bypassed some sensor and the dyno reads from 2500. it was over 500 TQ from 3500 to 4700.

I'm intake & stock exhaust w/TRD cat back.

I though that it was just a temporary change in one of the transmission maps; revert the map when finished.

I can’t quite figure out why the TRX is just so fast. Of course it has crazy power, but it’s also super heavy, with big heavy 35s. It has to come down to the gearing of the transmission and rear being a perfect match for acceleration. This video for example, the TRX makes a bit more power but it’s also way heavier and not on small street tires. I expected a better performance from the Roush than that and it just got destroyed. The TRX seems to defy physics lol. Anyone have a clue what the secret is to it’s crazy acceleration? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hC8pumlEGSU

TRX is AWD and setup for launching like it does. Most videos I see s/c F150's pulling from rolls.

I will say that the gap between the TRX and the Roush looked pretty similar to when TFL truck drag raced a lifted magnuson supercharged tundra against their TRX. I don’t think the Roush would be much quicker than our trucks, if at all.

I didn't watch the video, but I went on Roush's website and their F150 package doesn't even list or advertise anything about performance, it's essentially a TRD Pro type aesthetics and shock package. Doesn't even list being tuned for some reason.

A guy I worked with had a F150 that was tuned--I thought by Roush but maybe not--and my Tundra (post 5.29s) was faster. So if that Roush F150 is anything similar, then I think you're spot on. Rolling race the Tundra was a hair faster, from a dig the blower gave a half car length jump that he couldn't make up.

This particular Roush is a claimed 650hp 610tq power package using a TVS 2650 blower on the 5.0

Buddy of mine recently installed his Maggy Box. I guess with a little lube, the Harrop coupler will slide on lolC4E8CC22-9247-4DAC-864D-28A70A6323E6.jpg

Moral of the story. No hole is too small as long as you have the right amount of lube.

What's the default pulley size for the Magnuson supercharger for our 5.7? The 3GTacoma kit is a default 90mm, but have been wondering if the tundra started off with a bit smaller pulley.

    Thanks.

I'd found that 2.45" info online somewhere but when I did the conversion I got that 62mm and was like no way, couldn't be that small... Lol

You don't need any lube, as I previously stated in this thread it can easily be stretch over the Mag air box

    got an answer:

"No requirement for it to cycle when truck is turned off.
Reason it does is because IGN fuse on our Tacomas (that the SC directions instruct to wire pump to) receives power every so often when the truck is off for emissions purposes iirc which in turn powers the intercooler pump."

Whatever this forum told me to do
Dunno if it was me having the A/C off or the frigid cold front that hit Houston (64 degrees!), but the truck ran STRONG this morning.

and no I did not do a Dragy

and yes, I left the damn Dragy sitting on my workbench...having a driveway put in, so I'm banished from parking in the garage for about a week or so.

    maybe tomorrow.

got 20mpg on way in....i usually do 18.

a supercharged Tundra is truck perfection.

Agreed. Every time I get to drive mine for a little longer drive than my usual 10 minute trip I always end up thinking…damn I love this thing! In fact, I just had that experience yesterday. The TRD exhaust was sounding extra incredible for some reason. I like to drive it like an old man, and then every once in a while put the pedal down and remind myself of the savagery it’s capable of for its size lol.

it's amazing that a 2.65L blower can be installed on a truck & it fit inside of the ECU parameters.

The tune makes it like the blower is not even there. it simply becomes part of the system.

all the gauges work. all the engine mgt systems work. nothing is bypassed.

this is the golden age of motors.

All the Whipple trucks I’ve seen posted on Facebook look slow unless they were turned way up like a few Prospeed builds. I said what I said.

I think it was like 700 crank HP before internals need replacing.
