Cravenspeed mount sucks. No amount of bending or spacers can make my steering wheel stop rubbing my gauge. Reached out to CS about it and got "Oh yea, that's just how it is with AEM gauges."

I had the same problem initially. Mine works perfect with these little nylon spacers, and I forgot they were even there until you mentioned it. :notsure:

Oh damn, you did huge spacers.. I have like 4-5 washers and it still isn't enough.

I have the same mount and started out with the Innovate gauges, They fit great but the WB crapped out early so I went back to the AEM and the bezel sticks out a little more. I just put a couple small washers behind mine to space it back and no more rubbing. ??

Magazines allow 0.2 to 0.3s roll out, we changed shift pattern back to normal and it FELT good! with softer 1-2 shift the truck didn't feel good at all, it's a weird sensation but I didn't like it, its not as smooth (ironically) on normal pressure, for those who have IPT valve body, you know that "kick" feel between 1-2, with less pressure, the kick just gets delay and it drives jerky.

Did 3 runs today, temperature was 20c/68f, dry, pretty flat as shown, and for ease of comparison I changed racelogic to 60mph and no rollout, here's the kicker, the truck weights 3255kg or 7176lbs today, that includes:
    - Full tank of gas
    - 80L of water
    - 1 spare trailer tire/wheel and a full size spare (285/75r18)
    - about 50lbs of firewood
    - camping supplies
    - one of the trail boxes is full of tools.

So she's heavy today, and the launch is very consistent, next week or week after I'm going to all the crap out of the truck and get her down to 6800lbs and do it again.

Hit a “valid” one tonight headed home, in the same spot I did one previously. New record of 4.85 w/ rollout! I promise I’m not a dragy addict, only doing one here and there when the time is right. I was out later the last couple evenings so taking advantage of the cool evening air. That’s solidly sub 5 for me so I’m very pleased.

I was discussing the possibility of starting the Dragy thread with a moderator. At this time, it sounds like our best course of action is to start a large group PM of all interested members. My PM privileges will be expanded to invite more members to the chat than would typically be allowed.

The faith in the membership to follow specific rules to keep everyone from violating the rules and code of conduct with this particular topic, is low. Sounds like we will be able to have whatever conversation we want, without fear of breaking any rules this way. I would suggest anyone who wants to be part of this large PM, send me a message and I’ll add you to it once we have enough people to get it off the ground.

I like the idea of starting a thread just to notify everyone that we have this PM going, in case they would like to join as well.

I'm going to get the stage 2 Harrop.. Prospeed says I need their fuel rails and their upgraded fuel pump beyond the stage 1. Thoughts?

Whatever this forum told me to do
    I wonder why?

I’m using the fuel pump harrop sent and stock fuel rail with 650’s, 80mm pulley

I never had a problem with fuel

No disrespect to Prospeed, they do good work and their investment in parts for the tundra is appreciated. That said they put a lot of R&D into their parts, so they like to sell them.

I personally struggle to see how running an untuned stage 1 with stock rails and the 300c pump is condoned, but then putting 1 step smaller pulley on for an extra PSI or 2 paired with a proper tune and larger injectors is unacceptable. Viktor did testing on the stock fuel rail setup and they seemed to flow pretty well.

I’m just someone on the internet though, where as they build and tune a lot of tundras.

    From Prospeed:

"The pump supplied for the base Harrop kit maxes out as soon as any tuning/upgrades are done on top. They supply the bare minimum that is required to run the stage 1 kit. The rails/line kit is required because the added fuel flow needed to run the stage 2 system safely has shown the rails are not able to supply the amount of fuel needed, we tested there is a imbalance from the passenger/driver side rail which will cause the passenger side to run lean. I have attached the quote for everything necessary to run the stage 2 kit with the discounts applied"

I knew you guys were still on the oem rails and was curious what your thoughts were. I think I'll be fine with oem rails and the pump that comes with the Harrop kit.

What's the price increase? You're already in there, wouldn't hurt. If it's only a couple hundred bucks I'd do it, drop in the bucket at that point.

That’s the problem, the fuel rails alone are $1400.00…..then add in the larger fuel pump and the 750CC injectors they want you to buy as well and you’re looking at $2200+. You can make your own parallel fuel system with some fittings for peanuts compared to that, some guys out there have done it. Possibly even @4firemandan has, I don’t recall exactly though. If the money isn’t a concern though, then you might as well go ahead and buy their setup if they are doing all the work and tuning, cause they won’t install it otherwise I don’t think.

@V10Ace National speed is also an extremely reputable shop. Check out their packages on their website. They don’t have you upgrade the fuel system to the Prospeed setup until you get to their “stage 4” package which includes a 75 mm pulley (probably 10psi), ARH headers, 4.5” intake and an RCF TB. https://nationalspeedinc.com/packages/toyota/toyota-truck/2007-2021-tundra/tundra-xk50-platform/

And that’s likely the main reason the fuel upgrades are needed right? A lot more flow is needed on E85?

I'm not sure but to get the numbers they promise (+275 HP up to total 655HP) likely so.

I personally think that the stock rails flow more than enough for 90% of the builds out there.

I got 566whp to the wheels on stock rails AND stock lines, and a TRD charger. (4th gear)

Now, granted that was absolutely THE limit of the lines and injectors (650cc).

The injectors were maxed and the AFRs we're JUST creeping into 12 and it was just about to start really requiring big fuel at those upper rpm . but it was still in the safe zone and actually pulled all the way to 6200 in 3rd gear on a prior pull and it was great AFRs, although slightly less power.

Since then I've done my own e85 fuel system with PTFE lines ....-8an feed to Y of (2) -6an feeding each stock rail, then back to Y and a -6 return line.

I also went to bigger injectors and pump (1000cc and 450lph).

For the record, if you aren't going to run ethanol I would stick with 750s. The 1000cc are just SO far outside the OEM range, they're a little harder to tune with our limited ecu table access.

    Anyway,
When the weather gets cooler I'll get another dyno and update where I'm at on power. I feel like I can hit 600whp with this setup.
(TRD SC with 2.30, DT headers, cat back, 4.5 intake, and cone filter, RCF TB, Fuel lines as above, 1000cc injectors, ti450 pump, Custom ethanol tune myself)

Whatever this forum told me to do
    ...and I don't see it.

I reckon if you are going higher than 575hp @ crank...you would need that extra stuff....but...you BETTER have a 4.5" Intake.

to repeat my issue...My MAF is maxed @ base stage 2. stock intake/stock exhaust.

and y'all hold off on all the disparaging comments about "how would I know, I can't even do a good 0-60". I'm sensitive.

Of note, merely for the sake of pondering; oil changes appeared to have been neglected, but the piston rings were all free.... Not to rationalize extended oil change intervals though. Also, I didn't notice if the manufacture date of the engine was mentioned, but I think that there was a recall or bulletin of some sort that focused on the possibility of a valve spring failure in engines manufactured in the first year of production.

I saw XAT racing had some billet 8AN port fuel rails in the past that were $750 a set. Not sure if they still manufacture those or not, but at half the price of the Prospeed rails I’d be looking at those if that’s a concern for anyone.

The fuel restriction? I think the ProSpeed fuel rail limitation thesis was disproven by the figures and experience @4firemandan posted. @Silver17 is right, it sounds like an unnecessary up-sell if the fuel system parts provided support the target HP sought.
