Just bought a G40 10mm. First firearm purchase! I want to do some hikes out in Grizzly territory. I'm gonna celebrate my purchase with a day out on the water. You guys are just banana fingers, I'ma show you.

Question - would this have any trouble being mounted inside a Lock'er down console safe being 9.5"?

Congrats on the new gun! 10mm is an awesome round. It will fit in the locker down safe no problem, the Tundra console is enormous.

Woot! Got pics from the smithy. Barrelled action is ready for Cerakote! :D

Should be doing load workup here soon! Assuming the range doesn’t close with this CV19 craziness about...

I've been having constant grip issues with my M&P9. Every time I come up on target, the gun seems to be pointing to the right and I have to shift my grip. After much experimentation and dry fire work, I figured out that the palm swell on the backstrap is pushing the gun over. I tried every backstrap I had and even the smallest one didn't work.

I finally gave up, removed the backstrap all together and wrapped some hockey tape around the grip. Every time I draw and come up, my sights are now aligned properly. It looks jacked up as hell, but whatever works. When the weather clears up, I'm hoping to get to the range to try it out.

    Whatever works for sure!

I’m similar with my G17. No back straps for me.

I don't run any back straps either and I always have my clients run no straps to start with. I have deff seen some home made things for comfort but most of the time I am able to tweak their grip on the gun (most don't do it correctly) and they enjoy it more.

Picking up my first firearm this week. After doing the research, and asking several friends and family in the military, I’m going with the Glock19. I will be purchasing more in the future, but I’ll start simple. https://us.glock.com/en/pistols/g19-gen4

Now they are making a 300PRC!! For the person wanting a long range rifle look into the new PRC rifles?? The 6.5 PRC is a shooter. They are loud, kick, and are very accurate?? depending on your skills. On a back order list (#2) for the new Colt 357 in the 4.25 model.

Trying to decide on my next purchase, down to either a Bergera B14 HMR in 300 Win Mag for big game or one of the new(ish) Marlin 336 Darks as a general fun gun/backup deer rifle. Decisions, decisions...

Great choice. My Glock 17 and 19 gen 5’s. Can’t go wrong with the 19. Size is manageable for every day carry and it is still a fighting pistol.

Anyone have experience with DIY Duracote or CeraKote?
I want to refinish my rifle and my 226 in the same color , but the shop I would normally use is really backlogged.
