GEN 3 (2022+) Wheels and Tires Photo thread

Are the front brakes on the hybrid larger than the non-hybrid? Will 17" wheels clear the calipers?

 

295/70/18 ATIIIs arrived this weekend, METHOD 705s ETA is tomorrow! More to come

 

Anybody try running 305/70r18 on the stock TRD 18inch wheels? Will it rub on UCAs?

 

I bet it'll be REAL close to rubbing. I was running 295/70s on those wheels and I had MAYBE 1/4" of clearance between sidewall and UCA. 5mm closer isn't much but it'll be close...

 

Papa, any updates on SCS? I really want SCS's but as of now only offer -10 offset. I'm actually up for the offset but uncertain if they clear the brakes as I have a hybrid.

 

Where did you see these for sale?

 

Same size rear brakes, my blackhorns clear just fine

 

Anyone NOT running OEM TMPS with aftermarket wheel/tire combos? Does it throw a code or constantly remind you? In a predicament with having to unmount OEM tires first vs. after my new wheels/tires are mounted..

 

Works fine but won’t show tire pressure

 

So no constant reminders on the dash or the plane is about to crash alarm bells!?

 

Nothing like that, no light on. Don’t bother taking out the OEM ones

 

Last I talked to Vuth he thought about another 9 months or so till they had some. I’ll ask him again

I loved my Ray10’s on my Tacoma. I just moved from Livermore CA where their head quarters are. I bent a wheel and swung by and bought a blemished replacement for cash at a good discount. It had a mark on the inside edge of the wheel. Couldn’t even see it. Good guys

fwiw discount tire did this for me no extra charge. Even me being paranoid about checking tire pressure myself, it’s nice to have the tpms in case you hit something

 

looks like tire rack has a tundra model and color picker to see how wheels look on a tundra

 

Ordered these and pickup Friday since most of the local shops are away for Sema. Going with 35’s but still still need to find time to put my lift 3/1 lift on.

I didn’t want to go -10 on offset but as it stands, with the Tundra 6 lug pattern, this is the least aggressive they offer at the moment. I’m sure I will need to do the normal tuck back and trim like others have done.

Nice wheels, how much do they weigh?

 

Not too bad. 24lbs and some change. Other models are for sure lighter due to spoke design.

 

24lbs is pretty light. Most I've seen are like 30+.

WOW, thats going to lower acceleration and mpg, lol, I think thats what 30 lbs more than stock?

 

35's or 37's? I have the same tires in a 17x35 and the wheels i selected bring me to only 11lbs more per corner than stock

 

If SCS ever makes a positive offset Ray10 I’m all over it!

 

They are in the works! Once they release, I’ll make the switch over. It’ll probably be a +25 offset.
